Wheatland Hotel - Strathmore

Originally was booking the Howard Johnson inn this place was Horrible will never stay there again. Freezer was caked in ice, no ice machine, no one at the front desk, bathroom sink was plugged and backed up everytime it was used, tub was slimy to stand in and no bath mat, I figured I would use the ice in the fridge to my advantage and cool my drink only to take it out with a gummy substance all over the outside of the can.

Cold beer , good food and service

Upon arrival we talked to the lady in the lounge (as instructed) about check in. During the process of checking in she explained to us that it wasn’t in her pay grade to be checking us in and proving us wth the details of our accommodations as well as complained about personal and work problems. We were told that the manager of the hotel, Paul, would be there later that night and we could follow up with him if we had any issues. The room was alright except the carpets were full of dirt, counter tops and drawers were dusty and the bathroom sink and tub had a grimey film over them. We cleaned the tub and sink with dish soap and wiped off all the desks, drawers and counters. After realizing we had not been given the wifi password or information about the laundry facilities, my boyfriend went back down to talk to the lady. He was told the wifi password and that the laundry facilities were thought to be on the second floor but she didn’t know if the dryer works and she doesn’t know if we needed a key to get into the laundry room, she continued by telling him that she wasn’t even sure if we were allowed to use them. She directed him to another employee behind the front desk, who questioned on how long we were staying and why we were here and then continued by telling him to go ask the lady in the lounge. During our stay we had the pleasure of running into the manager ONCE, while he was on his way to the lounge to drink with his friends. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend staying here. If we didn’t already have a reservation and pay in full for this hotel we definitely would’ve taken our business elsewhere.

Very unprofessional service, Unprofessional dress for a manager, (strathmore location). would not let us talk by telling us the be quite and let him talk, we tried to voice our concerns but Paul the manager refused to listen and just walked out, I will post pictures of what we encountered, Don’t waste your time with Paul Gill, Paul told us we Don’t need your business, Female staff that we talked with were friendly and helpful

The room was inexpensive. They did not charge a pet deposit. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean and had nice amenities. The carpeting was a little dated but for the cost of this hotel I was very impressed.

Alright hotel, what i dont like is the windows dont open. I love fresh air so thats huge for me. Also, for what u pay, after like 10 pm, its impossible to get any assistance ???

Very comfortable loung. Really Great food if you like thai, japanese, vietnamese food. Pool tables and lots of vlt's

I stay at a lot of hotels as my employment requires it. This place is very old and dated and out of all of the hotels I have stayed at I have never met such rude staff. I refused to stay and went over to another hotel. If you ever take advise off these reviews it is not worth the 15$ savings. Go stay at a nice place with a pool and tub and nice staff.
