★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely do not rent from Westwood holdings/David Weiss. in 2401 my mother spent a year with no legal kitchen, as in a room with only a sink that only worked in the summer, was promised it would be fixed for over a year, no fridge, stove, counter tops or cupboards. She had a heart attack from the stress of dealing with the super and building managers which changed hands over 5 times in 2 years (every time a building manager committed to spending money fixing the place they were fired). One of the supers was a drunk who drank on the job and made advances on her, i took over her apartment and spent a year with over 50 work orders untouched (most of them the same 5-10 issues over and over). Even after i signed a new lease with a large rent increase that came along with promises to fix the place many things went ignored. Windows (on ground level) that could be pushed in from the outside, no control over the heat that would go to 34 degrees plus in the winter, splinters in an unvarnished floor, many many mice, unpainted walls, leaks in the bathroom, no medicine cabinet even though it was promised, peeling tub seal that was sharp enough to cut your feet, live wires from an unfinished light, and a combative building manager that would resort to threats if you pushed him to follow up on broken promises. It gets worse but ill save it for later and or t2 filings with the tenant board. Avoid like the plague.
