I joined this gym a couple months ago as I was interested in trying Brazilian jiu jitsu and I also needed to get in shape. If you are looking for a great and friendly environment to learn with a great atmosphere then I highly recommend west coast martial arts. Don, Cam, Brodie and Cody are great instructors and always there to give you tips and answer all your questions. All the members of the gym are very friendly and all higher ranked individuals will freely help you out with techniques. With my great experience with jiu jitsu classes I have tried a few kickboxing and grappling classes and they also did not disappoint. Highly recommend if you want to get in shape and at the same time learn a great skill

Everyone is so incredibly friendly and they have lots of helpers to teach the kids. My son's only been going there 2 months and he's improved so much and gained a lot of confidence in class and in life.

Brodie is a fantastic teacher. He cares about the kids and gives them attention, and follow through. My son is SO happy to be going, he's already asking to go more often. 10/10

My daughter and I both take Muay Thai classes here. My little girl loves coming here and she's always looking forward to her classes. Her coaches (Brodie and Ro) are so good with the little ones. They're so helpful and encouraging. They even hosted my daughter's birthday party and the kids (even my toddler) had a BLAST. I find my little girl is more attentive and focused because Muay Thai really does level out her energy, so she's not bouncing all over the place and chewing on your sofa like a bored Husky. Let's talk about the adult Muay Thai classes. I've done the 30 Minute Hit Kickboxing. Sure it's good for cardio, but I (this is just my own personal experience) found it repetitive because there's little to no actual focus on technique. If you want cardio, okay go do 30 minute hit....or run for free. BUT if you want cardio while you learn how to throw a REAL PUNCH and a POWERFUL KICK with those glorious legs your mama gave you, learn from actual Muay Thai coaches at West Coast Martial Arts. There's a rhyme and reason for everything they teach you. You'll learn combos, counters, blocks, EVERYTHING -- basically, real kickboxing. They get technical, they fine tune little details on your form and technique -- they're not just going to make you wail on a bag. Yes, I get a great cardio session and I leave their gym flexing because I feel so empowered. I recommend doing this as your cardio with weight training. I lost weight and maintained it. The people -- as I've mentioned, Coach Brodie and Coach Ro are some of the nicest instructors I've met. They're very personable, motivating, and approachable. They're good at herding the rowdy little ones, which is hecking impressive. Don (the owner) is professional, responsive, super duper friendly and very helpful. I've literally got no complaints. TLDR; You want to feel excellent and spicy? Or maybe try an inexpensive sport for your kiddo? Come hang out with the good folks at West Coast Martial Arts. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and bonus?

Instructor Brodie is so great and patient with the kids. Even when he has to have hard conversations with kids about behavior issue's he is kind, patient but firm all at the same time. It’s a great workout and we love to be able to watch our daughter practice and earn promotions.

I was brand new to martial arts and was welcomed with open arms. Fast forward past the initial few classes and coach Don is still as welcoming as in the beginning. Coach Don genuinely wants to help improve your bjj skill set regardless of your level of experience. The students in the class are all eager to learn and it’s a great atmosphere for anyone thinking about joining!

I have been training BJJ with West Coast Martial Arts for close to two years now. My son and I started training at the same time and my daughter is now training as well. This school is amazingly open and inviting. As a beginner, my questions were always welcome. I have not met a student at the school that has been unwilling to help you with a technique or offer you helpful advice. The instructors are fantastic and you can see that trickle down to the students; the environment of this school is amazing. Being on the mats is a tremendous workout! I could not recommend this school enough.
