Approx 40 flights of stairs with a road crossing/break near the half way point. The steps are narrow. You can easily hold both hand rail.. with platforms every few flights which help with passing other users. The steps themselves are short steps on the lower section while the upper section increases their height. Pick taken at the street crossing. Great view from the top!!

If you love a good challenge these stairs will definitely work the heart. If you've got heart issues you probably don't want to put this on your to-do list

Not quite a hiking area - but it leads to the Rail Trail at the bottom which woud be a hiking area. This place makes for a great work out, going to the bottom/top of the stairs. That also means at times it can be very busy with people working out. Nice view at the top of each set of stairs, with some seating areas at the very top and bottom. Some water fountains for you and/or your dog if needed. There can be a fair bit of garbage in the forest around the stairs. But at times it looks like someone has been trying to clean it as you can find garbage bags set to the side of the bottom - either that or someone is dumping their garbage. Light posts for traveling at night too so it feels less sketchy.

Quiet, safe, gorgeous view, clean. I am a lucky girl to live just around the corner. Great place for ? SUSHI rolling??( my beautiful pups name) Also, there really is a sushi place just a block away on Concession. Sushi rolls as well as SUSHI rocks to eats. ?

Not as daunting as they look! Honestly, not that bad, they are in 2 sections so you can have a rest in between or stop on one of the landings. Nice direct way up or down the escarpment and lovely view that improves as you ascend! It would be awesome if there was a bike rail, but probably too many twists and turns to make it work. There's a water fountain at the bottom, not sure about at the top though, and that's where it would really be beneficial! On my trip up the stairs a man at least 20 years older passed me several times, jogging up&down&up&down...i asked him how many and he said 20 times every day---I was stunned. I figure if he's doing that, I can drag by butt to the top without too much fuss. Seriously though, 20X a day, unbelievable!

Enjoyable spot to exercise and relax at the same time. My go to place for when I need a quiet walk. Needs more lighting for evening hours along the brow path stairs are well lit.

Great exercise and convenient way to travel up or down the escarpment. Doesn't have the double staircase or bike track to push your bike up like Kenilworth stairs, but these are of course older, but super sturdy no complaints! And from what I've seen in the winter they're always clear and not slippery, which is a good thing... I'm not sure if they clean them or the snow just falls through them but it works!

Great place for exercise, and surprisingly convent as a genuine route just to get from Point A to Point B. I work on concession and live along the king bus route, so when the weather's nice I can cut about 15 minutes off my commute by just walking down the stairs and catching the bus downtown, while enjoying the nice views along the way! (:
