We are concerned about keeping our clients (and staff) safe from COVID-19. In most cases, we will be arranging things so that clients can avoid coming to the office. We are currently exploring office procedures that will enable us to provide no-contact or minimal contact services to clients, such as Skype consultations, "drive-thru wills", and "drive-thru notarizations". Our office suite is locked and won't be opened unless someone has a scheduled appointment.

We would ask that all clients who are feeling ill (which includes any cold or flu symptoms and symptoms associated with COVID-19, such as sneezing, coughing, fever, chills, body aches, runny nose, loss of smell, or trouble breathing) avoid coming to our office. Also, if you have traveled outside of Alberta within the last 14 days, please let us know before booking your appointment. As well, please let us know if you are bringing extra people to your appointment. Extra people who have not been cleared by us in advance will be turned away. We would ask that you not bring children, family members or friends to our office unless their attendance at our office is necessary for your legal matter.

For our part, any Weninger Zhang staff member (including any lawyer) who is feeling ill or who is suspected of having the novel coronavirus will be instructed to remain at home. So far, our staff remain healthy and there is no evidence of infection from the virus. We would ask people attending our office not to shake our hands and to wash their hands before and after coming to our office. These steps are important precautions to keep everyone safe and to allow us to continue to serve you in the coming weeks and months. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

β β β β β I first met Mr Russ Weninger through an email in 2016 which I asked a series of immigration questions after my legal confidant and friend Justice Donald Stewart passed suddenly. Mr Weninger answered all my questions in 24 hrs. In fact in all my dealings with Mr Weninger since 2016 he always answered all my questions in 24 hrs. Mr Weninger has aided me in a refugee claim and hearing, work permit applications and permanency resident applications.
Mr Weninger took on my matter without hesitation. A file in which I should never be expected to win (an Australian citizen claiming refugee protection from Australia). I have dealt with 30 lawyers and counsels over the last 30 years. He was easily that lawyer that forensically went through his evidence, his submissions and his legal process.

Mr. Weninger and his team were extremely helpful, gave us timely updates and helped us understand the entire process. They also helped us format and word our application in the best way possible and include the not so obvious things that increased the probability of success. β β β β β Russ is a thoughtful, patient and caring lawyer. My husband and I got our wills done with him. He helped us navigate sensitive issues in a clear way. During our meeting he took the time to ask questions and raise possible concerns about some of our thoughts. He gave us examples of what other clients have done or reasoned out and the logic behind it. This is the first time we did our wills so we were unsure about some of our directives. He gave us scenarios for us to consider. We did ask for his advice and he truly did give us valuable feedback which we considered. He took his time and didnβt rush through any part of it.
