Waterview On The Bay

Cute little motel. Nice and clean rooms. Has a beach front, and our room was facing the water for an amazing view! The pool looked inviting, and well maintained. Unfortunately public health has not stopped by to give them the all clear to reopen. When ever we go to Wiarton again, this is the place we will most definitely be staying

My family and I have booked many mini vacations over the past two summers. We absolutely love this place. Tammy is awesome. Can't wait to go back in July! My favorite place in Ontario.

What a beauty!! I loved my stay at this gem of a resort only an hour away from Tobermory. We had plans for 3 nights & 4 days to visit places around, but once we arrived at Waterview, we really dint want to do anything but just enjoy at the property here. The staff is extremely courteous at this family run resort. I only wish they were around more often & interacted with the patrons more, but i understand it must be really busy to keep the show running so perfectly. I definitely am visiting again, perhaps for longer duration next time.

The location is great if you want to explore the Bruce Peninsula. It has a lake view and a private beach. I didn't like my room. Dated decoration with a soft and high bed, you have a tube inside the room and carpet floor. The fan was never cleaned.

This place is a little gem in the heart of the Bruce Peninsula! We had such a lovely stay, will definitely be back for a longer one. We stayed 2 nights here just after Labour Day which was perfect for us as a young couple as there were no kids around so it was nice and quiet. The nights during our stay were just starting to get crisp and cool which made having a private hot tub all the more wonderful! The room was modest which was fine for us, also very clean. I suggest bringing some of your own groceries along with some plastic dishes/cutlery as there is a fridge in the room. I read in other reviews that there is a common area with a toaster and a microwave but we didn’t bother with any of that. Before you stay here be aware that this is still a motel, a very nice one, but you aren’t going to get all the frills of 3-4 star hotel. This is basically a cottage-style stay. You have a beautiful view of Colpoys Bay, beach access, a heated pool and the option for a hot tub or jacuzzi in your room among other features and the price was very reasonable with those attractions in mind. All the negative reviews here seem to be from people with very high/unreasonable expectations and I have to assume some of them have no experience with being out in cottage country. It’s not always going to be the most glamorous stay unless you have buckets of money, but it’s definitely way more pleasant than camping. I would assume most people staying here would be out touring the Bruce and not complaining about having basic cable channels but it’s a strange world out there! All in all I would highly recommend this place as a little vacation getaway. Thanks for the wonderful stay! Hope to be back next year.

Rooms are very comfortable and spacious, service was good, our heater stopped working around 8pm , the manager tried to fix it but could not , so he offered us a electric heater which worked well and warmed the room , i was not impressed by the heater not opening tho, the views are very nice here and the little beach is peaceful, the decks to sit out on our awesome.

Absolutely love this place. Staff is so friendly. Been coming since 2020 with my fiancé and now we’re continuing to come with our daughter. Such an amazing place for couples or family!

We had a small problem in our cabin and Mentor was down to fix it right away, very friendly. The cabins are bright, clean and have a great little kitchen. This is second time we have stayed and recommend The Waterview to all.
