Although there is an off-leash dog park at Piper & Winston, there is also a picnic area, access to Burnaby Lake Nature House, pier & perimeter trail. It's a great place to get up close & personal with birds, fish, insects & other critters that are native to the area. Gravel paths make stroller & wheelchair access challenging, but for 7-12 year olds there's lots to explore & discover.

Off leash dog park is decent, although would not recommend this for smaller or sensitive dogs. There is a tendency for this park to have some larger dogs, although most of the owners here do tend to pay attention to their dogs and any aggressive dogs will usually be stopped. It can get very dusty in the summer, and very muddy in the wet months. There is water and usually there are poop bags at the parking lot entry point. Most owners are quite considerate here and mindful to clean up after their pets. There are a couple of small walking loops, and some large logs that dogs can play on. If you want to give your dog a more challenging walk, a short distance from this off leash area, there is the Burnaby lake trail - a 10 km loop walk. This is a good easy trail, totally flat.

Road isn't in great shape driving in from Government, but that's understandable as there's construction going on at the railway crossing. Parking is at a premium especially on nice days.

It's a great little park. You can bring your dog or just go for a walk. There are usually dog bags there please bring your own just incase, help keep the park clean. Last time I was there I belive there was a water fountain but don't quote me on that.

Been here multiple times, it can be a hit or miss. The layout is pretty limited, so the park experience depends entirely on the dogs and owners who show up. Some days are better than others, I've seen a group of 10+ dogs and owners show up just to walk around and aren't interested in playing at all! It's a shame when that happens, feels like a wasted time when we could be walking at another park. 3 stars because more positive than negative experiences, but barely.

Great little park. It has a fenced dog area but there are a lot of muddy spots as well as the water fountain has been disabled. There are also invasive species control areas that are present so beware. Other than that it's pretty good for not a huge number of dogs. I would say it could accommodate maybe 6-8 dogs comfortably.

A nice area with an off leash dog park.

Small secluded area. Plastic barriers around invasive plant species. Close to Burnaby Lake if you want to go for a longer walk.
