The nurse practitioners are fantastic, very personal and professional ! Wendy the secretary is so accommodating and very polite. Have been a patient/client now for 15 years and would recommend The Sudbury VON to anybody !

Had pain for a long time in a specific area, Genevieve Courant was very unprofessional and impatient when trying to figure out what to do. She seems very inexperienced and she didn't know what to do herself and would ask me what I want to do. I was also laughed at when talking about how severe the pain was getting, she took everything I said lightly and just said "Well you've had the same pain in that area for a while" but if she was an experienced nurse I would expect some sort of progress to help me. Apart from that, she also prescribed me the wrong medication a couple times without telling me the side effects on top of that. Will not be going back. Do not recommend. Do not know where those positive reviews are coming from, they must not of had Genevieve as their nurse.

I’ll be honest, we had our differences concerning the way they do things and about the care I needed for my husband. They are willing to give you the help you need when you enter their program but when you do need the actual help they seemed to have excuses. I’ve been with this company twice in a span of a few years and wasn’t fully satisfied. I think that when someone is a client they should consider the spouse also as a whole unit, not only the client. Their PSW’S are very caring and willing to listen but management promise you more then they can give you and they don’t follow through. When you promise or even put any changes in the care plan it should be followed through. I received calls about visits they needed to cancel because they couldn’t find anyone to come for visits or even fill in respite time. Definitely lack of communication on both parts actually (management and staff). If all would’ve been as promising I would’ve kept my husband at home longer and continued with the company but unfortunately I needed to make a difficult decision I didn’t want to make for my husband and myself because it was actually too much for me and I wasn’t myself anymore. I had too many things on my plate to deal with and no availability. When you have home care coming into your home you build and have confidence and feel comfortable in them but when you lose it and your mind isn’t at ease it’s not as easy. I want to make things clear that I don’t want to bash this company but want to share my last experience with them. I could say so much more…… and also want to make it clear that my husband wasn’t getting better My second journey with this company was better then my first journey. While I was writing my review I was trying very hard to see both ways of situations or aspect of things. I’m wishing them the best in improvements if there is place allowed for better care.
