When we arrived, we went to the room we were assigned on the 6th floor, and found a bunch of bags in it.. They gave us someone elses room. We returned to front desk and told them, and they gave us a new, -smaller- room.. No pull-out couch like we wanted. Not too impressed about that.

So i wrote a horrible review about this hotel and I studied hotel management and tourism and they decided to delete my review.. so I Am going to write another review of this hotel AGAIN…. This hotel has horrendous service, when i walked into the door i was greeted with a rude front desk employee by the name of “Nancy” after telling him I’m here for business she told me I couldn’t say here and asked her to show me where it stayed I couldn’t stay she called front desk manager the manager didn’t know what to say as “Nancy” was whispering in his ear don’t let him stay here.. the worst hotel i ever been too and i will make sure no one ever goes, they kicked me out before even checking into my room….i’ll make many reviews to make sure this goes unnoticed… I cant say enough of how disgusted I was with the service knowing i studied hotel management and tourism.. I will never ever come to this hotel and make sure no one ever goes there…. Disrespectful staff and racist… Don’t delete my review!!!

The pool/hot tub wasn't available so that really sucked, the room was clean, the tub & tap took forever to drain, so we didn't use the shower or bath, but we only stayed one night so....Very minimal old beaten up furniture there. Good tv, but no guide etc. Beds were comfy, bedding clean. Comfy clean pillows. Very few hangers. Ice on every 2nd floor(super noisy). You could hear through the door very well. Hear people walking down hallway & talking. It looked or felt like carpet needed to be replaced or something, very dim. Nice vending machines on every floor. Beautiful lobby, friendly staff, tiny elevator... Overall... Ok- ish

You can tell the hotel has seen better days but that didn’t stop us from enjoying it. It has all the amenities you need and the staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay in Winnipeg. We were the first a conference so most of our wing of the hotel were filled with students and the staff really made the experience great for us all!

This was a great hotel. The pool was great and the breakfast was amazing. I recommend this hotel to you but I felt like there were somethings that were not as great for starters there were no bubbles in the hot tube and what's a hot tub with out bubbles. Over all everything was good .

Checking in was a breeze. Took like 5 minutes, and we were up in our room unpacking. Room was nice and roomy and bright and clean. Nice sized flat screen that worked well, one comfortable chair in the corner with lamp, and a desk and office chair. Washroom was tight, with just a small strip of a shelf. Lots of towels, nice fridge and microwave, and coffee/tea maker with supplies. Very happy with the room. Had breakfast twice in restaurant. Had the classic, and it was excellent along with a good portion. Coffee was excellent on the darker side. Fresh bread toasted the way bread should be toasted, not the slightly warmed bread you so often get at most restaurants. (Take note…”hash browns” listed in menu, are not hash browns, but cubed deep fried potatoes.) Waiters were excellent and tended to our needs cheerfully. Grandkids, ages 3 to 12, loved the pool and slide. Slide a bit too slow for the older boys, but they all had a blast. Lots of towels available. Hotel within minutes of shopping and movie theatre. All of us truly enjoyed our experience here, and would gladly return.

Let me start off by saying, if you do choose to stay here and have any problems at all, talk to Jody at the front desk. She was amazing. The first room I was given didn't have a working door lock. So they moved me. Second room had a rattling heating unit which was promptly fixed. However the maintenance person stated they are so short staffed alot of things get missed. After he left I noticed a smell so I followed it to my night table drawer beside my bed. When I opened it I found old chicken wings bones and dip. Someone used the drawer as a garbage. My guess is at least a week old. The rooms were very loud. Had cold laminate flooring, and not much sound proofing. The guests this hotel attract are more the party kind. I didn't feel safe in the parking lot either. I chose to leave. This was not the right hotel for my needs. However Jody was wonderful!

Special shout out to Jody-front desk, Ron in the dining room and all of the smiling helpful staff who made our stay very enjoyable. We especially enjoyed the Sunday Brunch and pool area. Not the newest or fanciest hotel in town, but certainly the best hospitality and service we have experienced in along while. Our recent Fairmont stay paled in comparison.
