We were in the mood for some Indian food and we always had a hard time finding somewhere good to attend in newmarket/aurora. Many if the Indian restaurants in the area look rundown or out of date. Some actually look like you are in a soup kitchen. This one on the other hand has great atmosphere, modern look and feel, and also offers a decent variety of wines to choose from. Its a good place for a business meeting or even a corporate event. Service was great and food quality was also good. The butter chicken as well as the lamb vindaloo were great options. Only recommendation i could make is that the rice seemed a little undercooked and hard. A fluffier basmati rice would be a better choice in my opening. Overall, great experience!

I am vegetarian, some family and friends aren’t and everything we order has been amazing! Really good authentic flavours. To give you an idea of how much we like it I have friends in Picton who go out of there way whenever anywhere close to grab food, even ordering extra to freeze! It’s that good!

The only reason they got 3 stars is because their food actually taste phenomenal. We have been ordering from this place for a long time and now it seems the ownership has decided to skim. First of all their price is relatively higher than most Indian restaurant which I can let slide because their food taste good, but when you order two dishes and you get 5 small pieces of chicken which is the smallest I have seen in my life time and the paneer also seems half the size of standard cubes (seems like owners have decided to cut their meats and paneer in half to cut cost lol) Pretty short sighted if the strategy is to make profit and will definitely impact their business in the long run What a tragedy

While the food is good and has made me overlook the service in the past, it is nearly impossible to place an order. They say they open at 12 yet never pick up the phone until at least 1, sometimes not even then. They do not update their Uber Eats or any social media to inform of any issues or late openings. This restaurant has done this every single time I try to order so unless you feel like calling minimum 5 times without an answer, I don't recommend.

Had a craving for biryani and this restaurant was the closest one that served it ( I know of just two Indian places close to me ). Placed the takeout over the phone and the place was nice enough to call and check when I was delayed in picking up the order. Note this is not the dum style biryani and it is spicy by default so ask them to tone it down if you like mild. The chicken biryani is cooked with white meat which was not succulent at all and was dry. The rice itself was nice and had all the warm flavors from the whole spices but nothing to write home about. The raita (yogurt with pepper and salt) was refreshing and quantity was good. I would try some other dishes from this restaurant to get a better sense of their overall rating.

One of the best Indian food I ever had in Ontario and the GTA . Very flavourful food and delicious. A big variety of choices in the menu. The staff are amazing , I would definitely come back here again.

We ordered here for the first time. We got the butter chicken, chat papdi, rasmali, goat curry, paratha, and garlic naan. The butter chicken was perhaps the best dish. We were underwhelmed with the other main dishes. The spice and flavour were not adequate. A single order of naan and paratha is not enough. I would recommend order multiple quantities.
