Don’t waste your time. The old guy is living his best life, picking and choosing the work he wants to do. He turned away 3 customers, including me, because he didn’t feel like doing the work. He pointed at his work station and said, β€œ I got lots to do.” That’s nice. Though, Rather than say I don’t want to do it, he was going to charge me 3 times the price for re-soling my shoes. $175? Really? I had it done for another pair for $65 at St. Clair and Dufferin.

I had an exceptional experience at the Village Cobbler. I love sneakers. If your old enough to call them sneakers then you’re from the same era I’m from and we’re privy too seeing the most iconic sneakers, ever made be released. And even though I’ve grown out of the hunger to buy up all the colours and styles of Jordan’s I still prowl online and in the mall every now and then. So, it’s easy to see that I love a good shoe. Those same V’s is my most favourite style of shoe and I have many of them and though they are in excellent condition the glue has started separating. I brought a pair to test here to see if they are able to mend. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to due to the construction of the shoe and the glue and process used to fused the sole and upper together and cure the glue. The reason for my five star rating was the way he handle the transaction. Brilliant in every way. He made me no promises but assured me of his willingness to try his best. Upon picking them up he said he tried his best and gave them to me without charge. I believe in good service for money rendered. This was exceptional service for free. If you’ve gotten to the bottom of this review don’t think twice about going. Just go! Plenty of parking on Bloor or at the green P right across the street.

Brought my winter boots here to see if they could be saved. The person inspected both boots thoroughly, found all the problem spots and then laid out how they'd repair them. Unfortunately, it turned out that the repairs were so extensive that they said I'd be better off buying a new pair. They were still willing to do the repairs but advised me that it wouldn't be worth it. Excellent service even though we didn't end up doing business

Such amazing service! I brought two of my absolute favourite pairs of winter boots here that I had worn holes into, at the medial side near the balls of my feet. I wish I had gotten his name but the main gentleman who helped me was so kind and knowledgeable. One pair was leather and he patched the holes nicely. The other was in need of stitching the holes back together, which was also done perfectly. He assured me they would once again be waterproof, which was of the utmost importance to my commuter life. He added in giving them both a clean for a reduced price which was great. He had them done in one week. Can’t say enough positives about this establishment!!

I go to this cobbler for all my boot/shoe repairs and they always come back looking fantastic and often better than when I purchased the items. You may pay a bit more for the service, but you can guarantee that the quality will be high but also rest assured you are dealing with a cobbler with very high integrity. When I ran into an issue with some work that had been done, the cobbler was extremely understanding and believed me for my word, which really showed how top notch the customer service is here, in addition to the highest quality of craftsmanship. I will continue to come here for my repairs and wholeheartedly support this local business!

Very friendly service. I had a key that he cut and and it didn't fit the first time. He made me two more keys when I came back no charge and explained in detail what could be happening and how to fix it. Would recommend.

Terrible!!! I brought in my very expensive boots to have the top made larger. They said they would add a strip of leather to each side of the zipper. They measured my legs, told me they would call me to come back to have a fitting before final sewing. They called me back but they hadn't done what they promised. They added this little panel. The sewing job is terrible. Even the cut-out is awful and poorly done. Now I see why they make you pay in advance!!!
