Vidette Lake Nature Retreat

This is the most relaxing and beautiful place I've ever been.

Warning: I'm posting a review here to let others know that you cannot access this resort from Highway 97 (Chasm or Loon Lake). We wanted to visit the resort on July 2, 2016 but the Bonaparte Rd is a private road with a locked gate. The other unamed road on Google Maps does not exist. I have submitted a request to edit already.

This place will always be my favorite place on earth to be. Never in my life have I ever felt so welcomed and at peace with my surroundings. I desperately needed this place in order to get grounded and prepare for the new path that lies ahead of me. I visited on Sept. 17, 2020 and my tour time was 11:00 am (although my love and I were fashionably late). There was another couple with us on the tour, I dont want to name her without permission but I know for some reason she will read this. Anyway .... to this girl, it was meant to be that you were on this tour with my love and I. The book you mentioned; The Four Agreements...... As soon as I hit service on my cell I was checking out a local 24 hour bid site and the first item I saw was the book you had mentioned. I bid on the book and stalked that post for over 12 hours. I stayed up all night until 7am, when the bid war was over, and the person bidding against me put in a bid so close to mine that I was sure I lost the bid war. Before the post was closed and the person who won was notified, the guy bidding against me posted that the book was mine, not even knowing if he won or not. I just thought that those events and that book will begin something amazing for me, and bring me back to life again. And I have you, Ray, and the guy bidding against me to thank for it. My experience during the tour cannot be put into words. It was just feeling content, clear, happy and accepted, like I finally belonged somewhere. I will be back as much as I can. The Majestic beauty of this valley is breathtaking in the fall, with the vibrant colors of the changing leaves.. smooth as glass lakes .. Peacefully serene and tranquil energy surrounds you down every path you venture. The informative and pleasant manner of Ray as he took us on our guided tour to the Sacred area was a memory I will cherish. I look forward to our next visit .

I stayed here with my son the past 2 nights and it was fantastic! The cabin was clean and best of all it is so peaceful! The old mining shafts and views of the lake and surrounding areas were amazing. Ray and Diana were great hosts! Both extremely nice people and very welcoming. We did the tour to the Centre of the Universe and have to say it was a life changing experience. We will be back soon!

Incredible place. Beautiful views and a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. Did a tour to the Center of the Universe with Ray and had a wonderful time taking in the mountain air and standing in the area that's the "center". Wonderful place if you need to get away from the city. Thank you for sharing this with us!

What a nice recharge. Amazing people and new family. we would recommend going to the center for a speartiral experience. Five stars will be going back for years to come.
