We stayed in cottage #1, and loved all the original wood, built in the 1930’s. Cottage was cozy, with lots of space. Equipped with pots, pans, dishes, tea towels, propane bbq and cleaning supplies. Nice and quiet, and just enough space between the cottages for privacy. Our cottage had a great sitting area overlooking the lake. Fire pit and wood, at a good price was provided. There were canoes and kayaks available for our use, no charge! Our cottage was positioned closest to the beach, which was nice. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Offered board games and books if needed. Great place for family fun and fishing!
S	Samantha Harvey on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Each year my boyfriend and I try out a different lodge or resort and Bryer was among the first we visited. The rates were EXCELLENT (especially compared to some of the other lodges nearby that are outrageously expensive). We stayed in cabin 8 which is very tiny, but was perfect for us because we went to fish, not to stay in the cabin all day. Despite being small it was very clean and comfortable. The fishing on the French River was excellent. There were lots of things to see and do on the French. (If you go, ask for directions to the 5 finger rapids- you'll have so much fun exploring there and even jumping in with your life jacket and having a float down the calmer part of the rapids). The scenery was absolutely stunning, and we saw a lot of wildlife including beavers, osprey, turtles, a bear, foxes, and deer. Every year when it comes time to book our fishing trip I always suggest going back to Bryer and this year I won! We're heading back for a week in August and this time we're bringing friends to enjoy this awesome Lodge and all the area has to offer. I HIGHLY recommend booking a cabin here (and a boat if you aren't bringing your own)!
M	MIchael F on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been taking my family (wife and four kids) to Bryer Lodge for five years now and I can't understand how there could be a negative review. The cottages are always spotlessly clean and well maintained. The scenery is some of the most beautiful in the world. The wildlife is spectacular. Bill and Louise are the perfect hosts. It really surprised me how my city-raised kids have taken to cottage life (unplugged from everything!) and how pleased I am to be able to give them this gift. In the day we fish and in the evening play cards and board games. They always want to come back (they are aged 14 to 22). We are so fortunate to have found Bryer Lodge because it is just the perfect balance of comfort and cottage life. It has brought us closer as a family and gives us a wonderful thing to look forward to each year. In terms of a vacation it is very affordable. I highly recommend it! Michael Floyd, London, Ontario.

We continue to come back year after year for the amazing fishing , Beautiful scenery and great lodging wether you looking for a cabin for 2 or 8+ they have whatever you need . Bill and Louise are like family and take care of all your needs ( gas and fishing bait is on site ) If your looking to travel to the French river this is the place to go !!! - sam
C	Coy Warner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and my family have been going here for years this summer will be the fifth or sixth time staying at the lodge. The cabins are clean and comfortable. Bill and Louise are very friendly and are always around to fill fuel tanks and what not. The Wolsey bay is a beautiful part of the river and the fishing is great! We have caught several trophy sized fish including bass, walleye, pike, catfish and many Muskie. I hope to continue going here for many more years to come!
