★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a nice place to stops and eat lunch, or a snack and watch the river go by. Stretch your legs and walk around. You will see the welcome figures that my brother help carve, welcoming people to the valley wether you come in by boat or down Johnston Street. The First Nations of the area are not totem people and did things like the welcome figures. There is also a traditional whaling canoe in the shed there.

Wife's muscles and clam combo went down well. Good service at lunch time. Nice experience. Would recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice for having break from driving,picnic table with roof,plenty of benches and a bird's eye view of the somass river,if your lucky you might see fish jumping,sea lions otters,and sometimes a big black bear across river eating shellfish on the beach
