My first time at the clinic and it was great! The chiropractor, Dr. Cory Hewko, DC, is wonderful. Caring, compassionate, and helpful even after the appointment is over. I look forward to working with him and his staff to improve my health.

I am always impressed by both the professional and support staff at Vernon. Active Health. They are really a team who work at providing a good experience from making an appointment to getting services. I have gone to Cory for years for chiropractic work. I have just started doing the facial cupping with Debbie Jonasson and have had very good results with acupuncture and in particular Deb's scar work with acupuncture. Thanks to Cory and his staff for a total package care centre.

I was in a nasty accident, when a car sideswiped the motorcycle my husband and I were on. Thrown 15 feet, 2 fractured ribs, and a grade 3 concussion. I have to say, the people at Active Health are amazing. Jolaine Kroeger works hard to line up appointments that work for me with the therapists I need. And that can be trying at the best of time! Tim Craven - I have had fibro since II was 24, and he is very, very careful not to trigger it, as well as paying close attention to my pain levels. Always upgrading his knowledge! Riley Weatherhead - extremely knowledgeable in a lot of things medical, ( and many other fields). Working with both the concussion and the fractures...has therapies even the doctors didn't seem to know about! Tara Taylor - Is extremely focused on her clients well-being. Listens to what the patient is saying. and very much is not about pushing to a point of pain! Debbie Jonasson - very intuitive when it comes to her patients. A combination of acupuncturist and counselor. Patient and understanding All these amazing people are well trained in their fields. And have lots of knowledge of other fields , as well. If you have been injured, I highly recommend any of these people. And I'm a cranky old lady who isn't often impressed!

When we’re caught up in our “day-to-day,” every day, we can easily lose track of acknowledging credit where credit is due, particularly when we’re preoccupied in bewilderment that the rest of the world seems to have gone mad. Our politicians, who have been entrusted by us to serve OUR best interests, seem to be only serving their own and our civil servants appear to have forgotten that their job is to act for OUR needs and not some "official" narrative that has gone way too far down the rabbit hole. Common sense seems to have been abandoned in favour of following the rest of the lemmings, in haste and out of fear, into the sea. At an recent gathering of his professional health-care-giving peers, Cory Hewco, founder and Owner of Vernon Active Health, successfully appealed for a return to common sense, at least within his Chiropractic Association, by NOT mandating limits to the Rights and Freedoms Canadians have enjoyed until recently and which have been systematically removed by big pharma business, and those on the government dole. It takes a great deal more courage and endurance to swim upstream, against the current, and potentially at one’s professional peril, than it does to float lazily downstream with the rest. This is typical of Cory’s penchant for what is right, whether for his patients, his family and friends, his colleagues at Vernon Active Health or his fellow Canadians. It occurred to me today that Cory is an OBVIOUS recipient of “credit where credit is due” and deserves our collective support in whatever way we can offer it. Thank you, Cory…we appreciate your tenacity and resilience - please keep going!

Thank you Cory for your awesome work. After a disc bulge and physios not being able to help me, and doctors just wanting to prescribe me heavy medications to suppress my pain, I am actually functioning better and have totally resolved my disc injury from a car accident! I also sleep better and feel more energy and alert. So glad we found a chiro with proper skill
