I’ve been staying in Vernon for the last month or so for work and have eaten here many times. Very good sushi and the price is very good for the quality and size of their rolls. I’ve tried every special roll they have and I can say they are all good. I definitely recommend this place and it’s decorated very nice inside but I have never dined in, I always get my food to go.

I ordered sushi platters for a potluck and they were the star of the show! The rolls were fresh and delicious! The house salad that comes with it was incredible. Quite possibly the best dressing I've had. Kawa will definitely be my first stop, the next time I'm in Vernon. I was so impressed with the quality of their food and the friendliness of their service. Well done team!

Sushi is sub par because the fish is less than fresh. Got served a side salad with rotten lettuce in it ?

They close at 7:30, this was the SECOND time that I arrived BEFORE 7 and waited to be told the kitchen was closed… I asked what time the kitchen closes, and the hostess said 7, I told her come on we were here before 7! Then she looked at the cook and said β€œsorry I was told not to seat anyone else the kitchen is closed”. It was 7:01 by this time, so I guess yeah, we were then deemed β€œlate”… but really, we had come a long way, rushed right after work because we had been told to get here by 7. I had also called 3 times earlier to confirm this, but I got the answering machine once, and the fax twice. Not really customer focused. From someone who goes the extra mile for my clients, just poor

Reasonably priced authentic and deliscious sushi. Location is right on HWY 97 in the heart of downtown Vernon. Parking can be a challenge during busy times. There's no parking lot only street parking available. Love the ambiance and decor of the restaurant. I like that the kitchen is fairly open. Booths are available for more privacy. Sushi was served quickly and tasted fresh with a lovely presentation. Tea and Sapporo beer amongst many other options for drinks are available. Service was super friendly. Highly recommend if you're looking for a sit-down restaurant and a great dish of sushi in Vernon.

They are very friendly and have great staff. I just hoping this expansion from them and us waiting a life time to reopen. That they bring back the ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET AGAIN I'D EASILY PAY 30+ PER PERSON FOR THAT HELL YEAH I WOULD HAHAHA

I came here for the first time in about five years. I came here once right after All You Can Eat ended, and it was overpriced and didn't taste very good. Today I gave them another shot. Service was super friendly. Both the server and the cashier were great. Everything was continuously sanitized. They have a huge cherry blossom plant in the middle of the tables. It was impossible to not have my shoulders and head hit it when entering and exiting my table. It is super pretty but I know other customers will be annoyed by it. The menu is limited for vegetarians in contrast to other Japanese restaurants downtown. Only 3 types of rolls, yam and veggie tempura, vege spring rolls, and vegetarian yakisoba are your only major options. Soda options were limited to Coca Cola, Coke Zero, and Diet Coke today. I think there was a miscommunication because I saw other sodas in their fridge when I paid for my food. . .or they were unavailable for some reason? I dunno. A root beer would've been nice. The food tasted okay. I dunno if it was because I wasn't as hungry as I normally am at Japanese restaurants, but the tempura didn't hit the spot like it normally does. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for tempura today. I like how they offer 6 vege spring rolls for 4.95. Most restaurants offer just one for that price. Even though the spring rolls are tiny and barely filled, it feels like you're eating more because it's six instead of one big roll. The music and decor is very inspired. They have still kept the bells on the tables from their All You Can Eat days. They give you a mini Lindt chocolate on your way out instead of mints. I like that. Overall, 6 vege spring rolls and 6 pieces of assorted tempura, and a reluctant Coke Zero came to 17 bucks after tip and tax. I recommend this place. Feel free to give it a shot!
