They kept telling us that we needed to up our dogs' medication when the symptoms were gone with the dose we were on. Twice, they forced us to up his dose or they refused to refill the prescription. The medication he was on has also gone up in price by over $200 since VCA took over. We have also been over charged for services and medication multiple times and if I hadn't noticed and brought it up, it would have never been returned. Watch your invoices, if they have done it to one person multiple times, they most likely have done it to others.

I was warned about this vet hospital being expensive and having mediocre service but no other vet clinics are accepting new clients so I was forced to settle and I absolutely regret it. Vaccines, boosters, and flea/ticks meds for just over a month have cost me over $1,200.00!!! The vet barely stays in the room long enough for a few questions and simply recommends more services, that are upward of $100 each. They recommended a lime vaccine but neglect to mention the follow up booster requires yet another vet exam to administer within 3 weeks of the first visit. Each vet exam is $100. And the front desk workers/techs are rude! I began asking questions regarding the pricing breakdown and why I’m being charged another vet visit for a mandatory booster and the tech walked away stating I should talk to the vet as they mandate the prices and I shouldn’t take it out on her. So unprofessional and Absolute robbery! I see why locals in northumberland all warn against this vet office.

The staff was incredibly empathetic and ensured that we were well cared for. While the prognosis is not favourable for our pup, their approach to helping us come up with a plan that ensures her comfort was greatly appreciated. Thank you all.
