Maureen and Jeroen van der Stoel met at Olds College, and have been farming in the Enchant area together since their marriage on January 11, 1986.
They raise leafcutter bees, as well as alfalfa seed, grass seed, canola seed, and grains. Maureen and Jeroen are the parents of five children; Elise, Diana, Kathlyn, Bianca, and Alex. Both Jeroen and Maureen moved to Enchant from the city - Jeroen from Amsterdam where he grew up and lived for twenty years and Maureen from Edmonton. They are now happily settled in Enchant, where they have grown their business for over 20 years.
Maureen manages the office for the farm and Jeroen is involved in pollinating and seed production.
