★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very expensive! Store was a mess, things just thrown on the shelves. Some dollar store items selling for more than dollar store! You might as well spend an extra few dollars and buy new. Went to salvation army second hand store and it was reasonable and very tidy.i don't recommend value village, I will not return

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came to the store to donate several items. Two staff were at the receiving door and just stood there watching me unload myself. I asked if they were going to help and they both ignored me. Very rude! This begs the question: why were they there in the first place? Then I decided to walk in a have a brief look around. Prices were outrageous for a thrift store! No deals there! Sadly, NOT recommended! I will not return and will not donate anything further.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love Value Village but the prices have increased sooo much since the pandemic. It is sad because when companies (that get their merchandise for free as it is donated) are leaving many low income families/individuals to turn to fast fashion and other cheaper yet less environmentally friendly and unethical sources for clothing. I hope the chain considers lowering their prices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just OK for a value village. Some items are over priced - mason jars with not no lid for 1 dollar is a cost a new one that comes with a lid. Overall not horrible though. Have found some nice ties, shorts and dress jackets here for reasonable pricing.

The Guelph, Brantford, and Hespeler locations are all a complete waste of time. You may find the odd thing at a good price but you have to really know what you're looking for.
