To visit all the lakes, its about a 5km hike, but really worth it.All the five lakes are unbelievably pretty and the walk is really good as well. There are lots of wildflowers and bearberry plants around the hiking route.

Highly recommend this hike. Not too rigorous, with only a few steep hills. Not far from Jasper. Some dead trees at the beginning, but intensely aqua and green lakes made up for it. Large parking lot at trail head.

Amazing scenery and hike! There's tons of options where to go and a lot of different trails! It's a lot of climbing and going up and down so it does get tiring. I like how there's benches situated around so you can rest. The views are breath taking so bring a camera! There's a lot of spaces for parking and easy to get to. It takes about 30-45 mins walking just to get to the first lake so be prepared to walk!

I think a lot of people undersell this place. I have seen a lot of people state that if you need to fill in a time gap, then this would be a good place to do that, but in my personal opinion, I would say that this is mandatory for everyone to see coming to Jasper National Park. It could take you from an hour and a half to several hours depending on your fitness level and how much you stop to gawk at the scenery. It’s not an especially difficult hike, there is a little incline here and there, but nothing too daunting. As the name indicated, the trail involves 5 lakes and they are stunning. Each lake has its own special shade. On the day I went, one looked teal, one looked like it went ombre from neon green to emerald green, and another looked like a yellow green (mossy color). You have these beautiful lakes, surrounded by evergreens, and in the far background snow peaked mountains popping up. The #3 or #4 Lake has the two classic red chairs you see in the Canadian National Parks picture. I believe they put a set of those chairs in every one of their national parks, so it almost feels like you found a treasure when you find it.  This place is a must see!

I really loved this hike! It was not too busy and it was not too long. The lakes are really pretty (even on a rainy day). I did the 9B - 9A hike from the first lake to the fifth lake and it was a really great build up. When you go on earlier/later hours you will probably find a lot of wildlife on the trail. The hills in the hike are not really steep and everyone who is a little in shape will be able to walk this without problems. Though i would not suggest doing this with a little child (i saw children who could barely walk).

Valley of Five Lakes is an amazing trail. It is absolutely stunning from start to finish. The trail is also easy so it is great for people of all ages. There are many incredible places to just stop and rest for a moment and take in the beauty. Lastly, it is located less than 15 minutes from Jasper which makes it super easy to access. Just be sure to get here early as the parking lot fills up early and quickly!

A beautiful gentle hike. Tip: When you get over the footbridge, take the path to the right that takes you to the Fifth Lake. It's a light hike and beautiful view. The path takes you to a Ridgeline and you walk around the other lakes. You then hit the intersection of path 9 and 9a. Go back down the hill to the parking lot. This down hill part does not have any views of the lakes.

Rookie in Hiking? Yes you can start from here. Very easy. Just a trails to follow. And little bit ups and down. I started from lake one. Lake one four and five are the only with great views. But the real views will be seen from the trails. Top peaks of jasper: pyramid, Indian ridge, whistlers and Edith Cavill.
