★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here for 2 nights and left early to find something different. Tom is a super nice guy and sites were great. Power and water.
The facilities are sub par. A toilet outside with a shower curtain for a door and a shower that no one would feel comfortable using. Both need to be upgraded. Everything about the shower and toilet was weird. Was just four pieces of plywood blocking the view of your mid section. There needs to be more done to offer some privacy if you don’t want all of the other campers seeing you in your birthday suit. Perhaps that’s what some like but it wasn’t our cup of tea! Just a bit weird.
Nice place. Needs some work.
Hopefully Tom can get it up to par.
Lots of potential.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When i came to valhalla pines campground i felt autimatically good and felt that this place have a great energy. This little campground is surrounded by nature and calm. Here there everything you need to be comfortable and rest. We have hot shower and good WiFi and everything was always clean. I stayed in the cabin in the tree and I felt very comfortable. The little cabin with bunk bed was also comfortable and in privacy. here there is a great energy and Tom the owner is a good man and always listening to make everyone feel at home. He took time to show us what’s good to do in the area and we appreciate it so much. he is very accommodating and it is good to have a discussion with him. his dog sophie is adorable and kind. I would definitely come back. thank you tom for this nice time at your place !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came to Nelson area to do some skiing/snowboarding.. emailed the owner, reserved my spot.. winter camping, woo hoo!!! Its quiet, and off the beaten path, almost majestic like.. would love to see the place in the summer… wifi is available, long term guests are very welcoming… hot showers are available.. will definitely be coming back..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great place to stay and relax. Each cabin/campsite is very private, the wifi is fast with no connection issues, and the hot outdoor shower/flush toilet work great! Tom is a great host, and I would recommened this place to anyone looking for a relaxing quiet place in the area. Thanks Tom!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Valhalla Pines is a little slice of heaven. The energy of the land is one to experience. So serene and peaceful. The cabins are cute and perfectly equipped for comfort. I had a amazing stay in the tree hut. I loved the private deck that overlooked the camp ground. Campground has lovely hot outdoor shower and flush toliet. Tom (the owner) is the kindest soul and so easy to get along with. Truly makes you feel right at home. Very accommodating and knowledgeable of the area- has great tips for places to go !
Thank you for everything Tom ! I'll definitely be back sooner then later

Equidistant from Castelgar, Nelson and Slocan, this is quiet beautifully maintained oasis is nestled under the gaze of Frog Peak. The owner is very knowledgeable about the area. Your visit here will truly be best of what the Slocan Valley has to offer.

There is a myriad of things to see and do in the area. Tom has extensive knowledge of the region and can point you in the direction of some great adventures! I will be back!
