Hello! My name is Vera Mernacaj, and I am the Founder and Owner of V. Mernacaj Hair and Makeup. I offer you more than 20 years of hair experience and 4 years of makeup experience.

My joy comes from helping other people see how amazing they are. I truly enjoy highlighting what’s natural to my clients and bringing out their best features, and helping them see what’s magnificent about them! When they finally see it for themselves and embrace that part of them, a whole new world of confidence and love for themselves appears. That's what fuels me.

The day I got married, some of the traditions of my culture wouldn’t allow me to do my hair or my make up. On the biggest day of my life, I wasn’t allowed to be the star. That experience stayed with me far after my wedding day, and lit a passion within me to help brides feel like the queens they are on their special day. I am very passionate about my work. Whether it's a colour or cut, wedding, graduation styling or up-dos, I guarantee that I will make you look and feel your best.

My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable and pampered. I am so grateful for my wonderful clients and the love and support of my family. I look forward to working with you very soon. - Vera

Vera has a sharp eye for style and is a master stylist with reasonable rates (and a great scalp massage). She is welcoming, warm and is very comfortable to talk to. Vera will let you know if something will look good or not and provides recommendations. She has a lot of pride and passion for her work and wants you to leave her salon feeling the best you can be. Vera treats my hair with the utmost care and ensures it’s healthy.

I went to her feeling old, run down. Vera has this talent of making my whole experience relaxing, restful, and lots of fun. She played music, and without me noticing she took a personal video of my "old" look. I am not saying this is her everyday practice. She did this for me. After my colour, and cut and styling she took a similar personal video. After seeing me in the mirror, I was shocked to see the old me in the video. I do not want to be that old me again. Vera accomplished this and so much more on my first visit. She listened to what I wanted, was thoughtful in her suggestions and most importantly took her time to achieve quite literally, the most beautiful hair colour that I have ever had. I would say that to call her a hairstylist isn't nearly accurate enough. She is an artist.
