My wife and I first met Tim in 2004. A full consultation with him was a house warming gift given to us by Kerrisdale friends that had used his genius and services on their huge 66' lot. It turned out to be a highly collaborative process. Together we explored the many possibilities for the outdoor spaces of our 1924 Douglas Park Craftsman Bungalow's 30' x 122' lot . No detail was spared and he proved himself a very patient man and a true artist. In the end we had... as our friends and neighbours were happy to suggest to us... the nicest yard in the neighbourhood. Both for entertaining, chilling and for our daughters. When we sold that home and moved to Dunbar... my wife's biggest disappointment was not being able to take what he and we had created for us. That problem resolved itself when we presented Tim with another challenge and the blank canvas that was our new yard. This time a 1930 one and a half story bungalow on a 33' x 110' lot. In the end an equally beautiful spot for our family and as was hoped... given our daughters were older... a place they wanted to have friends over to hang. Tim and his crew regularly do late winter/early Spring maintenance for us. He also answers many questions throughout the year when we have them... despite having learned much from him to make small additions and alterations ourselves. If the truth be known... Tim has become a friend of the family. While as a real estate agent I also confidently refer him to clients. I strongly suggest before you make any decisions on hiring a landscaping company... You include a meeting with Tim in your plans.

Tim and his crews provided me complete overhauls on a number or properties. Tim is knowledgeable about what plants to install for the desired outcome. On my rental properties I wanted "cheap and cheerful" with little maintenance. They have provided that with only a spring and fall clean-up needed. At a few properties we have installed irrigation, pots, hardscape and soft. Tim and Urban did it all and provided it fast and effectively On my main residence Tim and his team Installed a layered cascading greenscape that brings me joy everyday I pull into the driveway. Marita ,his maintenance manager, is a bright and astute landscaper in her own right. Tim & Marita will see issues about other aspect of the house before I often do. This includes issues with sumps, lighting, gutters, pests, and provides me with the people and knowledge to deal with any of the issues. I had hired Urban Landscapes to look after my aging mothers home and my mother had nothing but glowing comments a bout seeing Marita and her team on Thursday mornings. I know my mum felt safer knowing the crew (branded t-shirts and introductions) but also that when she went away they would be looking for more than to just get in and get out and provide her home with a glance for anything broken or out of place. The Urban Landscape team has provided us level of service that is well above the standard mow and go. They trim neatly, tend to the beds, and clean up better than many of the gardeners I have had in the past. I would recommend and have recommended the Urban Landscape team to numerous friends and family
