★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got the Irish Soda Bread. Wanted a snack-everything looked good but in this holiday season I thought why not fruitcake. It was delicious and I could taste and see all the ingredients. They used whole nuts which I appreciated over chopped which sometimes disappears in all the flavours. I could taste both almonds and hazelnuts. We also got a pumpkin and cranberry muffin. I think they used whole cranberries instead of dried which gave a nice pop and sourness.
The Soda bread isn't sliced like the other breads they have (I forgot to ask if they would slice it), but it was easy to do at home. I could smell the honey and it had a really nice taste/texture, especially lightly toasted with butter on it. With coffee from Fort Langley it was heaven!
Very friendly staff. Uprising has a lot of seasonal baked goods right now so check them out.
Another trip I got the Raspberry Rhubarb slice and some Loaded Baked Potato Scones. The Raspberry Rhubarb slice was a very filling treat. It had a beautiful top layer with some coarse sugar and a nicely browned crust. The filling was like a raspberry and rhubarb jam but with pieces of rhubarb. Sweet first then tart. The scones were also delicious. Definitely loaded with cheese, pieces of bacon, and onions. Great for breakfast with tea.

Every time I have an out of town guest visit me I always pick these up. They are unique and incredibly delicious. Staff are always amazing, and very sweet. Thank you for being a part of the neighbourhood!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I usually get their granola, cookies or muffins, but they do serve wraps, pies and sliced cakes as well as frozen ready to heat foods. I tried their chicken pie and it was delicious. It's tucked away from the main part of Commercial Drive but defiantly check this place out if you have a sweet tooth.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uprising Breads Bakery is a great place to have breakfast or lunch. I usually have the soup/sandwich special, plus a blueberry glazed cinnamon bun with a coffee. The host who served me was friendly, lovely, and polite and sweet. I enjoy going to that bakery often.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This bakery is amazing. They have a large variety of delicious ready made sandwiches that are perfect for lunch. The cookies, pies and breads are great across the board. You really can’t go wrong with anything they make. Whenever I am in the area I make a stop at Uprising and I am always happy I did!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Omg this bakery is so nice. It has an amazing little small town vibe the staff are super friendly and the food is so delicious! I tried the pumpkin cheese cake, the sausage and garlic Danish and I also had a london fog. Everything was so tasty and fun I loved it unfortunately I ate it all so fast I didn't get pictures XD but I bought a few other things to try, the blueberry cinnamon bun, the apple caramel Danish, and the ginger bread owls cause they looked so adorable I had to have some lol im definitely coming back here ♡

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was Saturday evening, two minutes past closing time, when I pulled up to their bakery to find the door locked. The kind staff inside unlocked the door for me "seeing my sad face", they said. Now *that's* service! I left with this box of goodies to take back to Seattle. Great co-op bakery.
