Schooling is fine, but if you want to have to continuously call multiple departments and places each time you have a question and never get an answer that's helpful, this is your school! Every time I get a different phone number to reach and nobody can answer my questions.

They don’t care about you here. They’ll charge thousands of dollars, say they care about you, and offer counselling for ANY reason. But you have to wait a month+ to get an appointment then all they do is tell you to sleep regularily and thats all. The root of the problem is that the professors can’t change the system to help you out, so the problem can’t be fixed unless you drop out or graduate. Ooh but if the professor is having a hard time? They don’t get any help either and it ruins the class experience, especially the forced online classes during peak covid. They didn’t even get the right training to operate simple online meeting services! Also they have a mask mandate in university buildings but its never enforced. And if you get covid during finals? They make you pay them more money to defer the exam, even if you have proof that you’re positive. They’ll remove loading zones in front of dorm buildings and ticket you for leaving your car unattended for five minutes while you’re moving out. Then the staff will tell you that “they don’t care” and “well that sucks”. Super unprofessional. There’s also dumb fees that you can’t opt out of like the gym fee or the bus pass. Which makes no sense if you’ll never use the gym (because you don’t live in Saskatoon maybe) or have a car and a parking spot. It’s such a broken system.

Raj Srivasnan from the math department tells his students if you spoke English you would understand the material better instead of actually teaching the material. This university is a joke and most of the professors don't do their job. Highly recommended international students go elsewhere. Really low quality education.

I’ll rate it well because I got my PhD here and had a generally good experience, but there are MANY areas for improvement. Looking at you, admin… It is one of the prettiest spots in Saskatoon.

My experience with the admissions office front desk was pleasant at first until someone hang up on me when I was trying to ask a question. I said to the person that I wanted to ask one more question and they responded with “well, I am done with this conversation” and hang up. Thank you for letting me know that I should never try to seek clarification for anything from you and most importantly to never refer anyone else to this Institution. Have a great day!

What kind of department would refuse admission to a certificate/diploma program to a student for not being able to attend an in-person interview, an interview that was not mentioned anywhere as mandatory. This interview was not previously discussed. Within a week the student has to come to an in-person interview or be refused entry in the dental assistant program. The life of the student seems to not be considered as important. This student has already done one year in a BA program, has very good marks , is 20 years old and wants to enter dentistry.  To pay for the dentistry program she is now working a full time job in The Province of Quebec, while staying with family for the summer. The cost of attending an in-person interview would be $2500 to $3000 for return flight, plus trips to airports, plus hotels. Her home is 2 1/2 hours from Saskatoon.  She also takes a risk to lose her full time job. We are in year 2022, where it is common for on-line interviews, and should be perfectly acceptable. What is going on here? Let’s try to help keep students in school to give them an education and not put unnecessary obstacles in their way.
