I was in a challenging position needing sound professional honest advice to act on or pass on to the prospective owner. Ian was recommended by an inspector and he was so helpful and honest, and available every time I called to ask for his advice . He offered two options for different prices told me the outcomes of both and I was able to offer my prospective buyer clear options. It was invaluable help . I would definitely use him and have recommended him to all my friends. I trust that he would be honest and fair and offer great service from a well seasoned professional.

Ian is a great lad. Came out twice at short notice to fix some issues and install new sockets and just a general check to see that existing electrical work was safe and up to code. Excellent communication and great value for money. Trusted him alone in my house and to lock up as I had to go out urgently. Would definitely hire him again and will do in the near future I’m sure. Highly recommended. Five massive stars!

I had Ian with Ultimate Electric install a Tesla wall charger in my garage. Ian took care of the permits with the city and did a timely and professional install. Ian also followed up to ensure that the electrical inspection with the city was successful and the permit could be closed. I would certainly recommend Ian's work

I am happy to say Ian was great to work with. He stood behind his quote, even when our old house through him a few curve balls : He was prompt and knowledgeable with the task of the100 amp panel upgrade. More importantly I could see he had the trust & respect not only of the Enmax Techs but also the City of Calgary Inspectors which made the workflow so much more fluid. I highly recommend Ian and will use him again when my wife allows me that new garage in the spring ;)

We recently used Ultimate Electric for our full house renovation. Ian is a true professional, is there when you need him, cares about the work he does, and is a master electrician. Ian put pot lights throughout our home, created new outlets and switches, as well as discontinued what we weren't using anymore. He did all of the lighting and electrical hook-ups in our kitchen too. Ian is trustworthy and I will use him again, as well as recommend him to others for their electrical needs. Electrical is important in a house and Ian does not cut corners. 5 stars!

Just completed a fantastic experience with Ian and his team at Ultimate Electric. Had them install a sub panel in my very old garage which included trenching and running new cable to the house. They even went the extra mile and managed to get the lighting cables into the ceiling even though I told them surface mount was just fine. I especially appreciated how fast they got out after I contacted him for a quote, that saved us waiting until Spring for the ground to thaw. All of the work is top notch and aside from the city inspector wanting a little more sealant around an existing hole, ie not Ian's work, everything was passed immediately. I will have them back next year for work on the house without question.

Shortly before Christmas 2021 we started having electrical problems throughout the entire house. I had Enmax attend and they confirmed that there was as a fault with the underground service line to the house. Because it was within my property line, my responsibility to get it repaired. I called two different electricians who were recommended to me, but they did not even do this type of work because it required major excavations (my service line is 8 feet underground), city permits and coordination between multiple agencies. After looking at the reviews for Ultimate Electric Ltd., I decided to see they could help. I spoke to Ian, and could immediately tell that his work ethic was at another level from most tradesmen. He quickly came to the property to examine the situation, and then immediately began contacting Enmax, the City of Calgary and a HydroVac company to coordinate the repair. Within a short time I had a detailed quote, which I was able to give to my insurance company. Throughout the process Ian was in constant communication with both me and my insurance adjuster, even though he does not typically work with insurance companies. On the day of the repair, he and his crew worked around the clock to get it done. It ended up taking many hours longer than anticipated to locate the fault in the line, and they ended up working late into the night. Because of the cold temperatures and the fact that power had to be fully disconnected from house this entire time, Ian actually purchased a generator as a backup power source for the house just in case it was needed. In the end, the service line was fixed that night. Ian also reached out to another company afterwards to give a quote for landscaping and filling the multiple 8-foot-deep holes in the yard. Ian was very clear in explaining the original quote and the entire process, including the potential for unexpected issues that could cause additional cost. As far as electrical repairs go, this was about as major as they get, and it is difficult to find electricians who are even qualified to do it. Overall, I found Ian to be very competent and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who is looking for quality work and service.
