★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Im a former employee of sobeys and Safeway im getting harassment calls from Safeway employees so i called the union an refuse to help me an call the southgate Safeway to stop the calls to my phone the union doesn't represent former employees

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Poorly educated, often outright wrong about policy details or legal ones. Incapable of the basic function of it's existence, to protect & promote the well being of it's members. My only question is whether it is so terrible at what it does, because it is in the pocket of the business or is simply really bad at it's job.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To be fair I am uncertain whether it due to membership or leadership. But, it has been fundamentally ineffectual in my experience.
As a member I only earn minimum wage and pay dues. It is impossible to get full-time work and the Weston family seems to get it's way in it's dealing with it.
I fundamentally believe in worker's right and that unions can be useful. I just don't see what this Union has done to make my position any different from what it would be if they didn't exist.
