★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was my parents 40th wedding anniversary and they are huge art collectors. So I came to the Douglas Udell Gallery looking for a piece for them. When I came in, the gentleman working there didn't even acknowledge my presence which is sad because I was ready to spend quite a bit of money. I feel bad for the artists who have their work displayed there because I had no desire to look for very long as I started to feel almost unwelcome. When I walked back to my car parked in their back lot I noticed that someone had boxed me in. A car was parked directly behind me and there was no way I could get out. So I went back to the gallery to see if I could find whose vehicle was behind me. To my surprise, I learned it was the gallery owner himself, Douglas Udell. The employee called him to come up and I could hear him saying he'd be up in a moment. Douglas made me wait almost 20 minutes before he came out to move his car!!! Also he wasn't apologetic at all and frankly quite rude. He accused me of not being a customer and told me I shouldn't have parked there in the first place. I will never step foot in that gallery again and all my friends and family will help me spread the word of how terrible the owner is!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've bought 3 pieces from this gallery. Andrew, who is now running the gallery has done a fantastic job with bringing in New artists and discovering new talent. Definitely my favorite gallery in the city. Excellent advisors and immaculate works!! Ill be back for my 6th piece in no time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would highly suggest anyone who purchased any art from the Douglas Udell gallery, have their work authenticated. Doug is known to sell prints as originals and pressure artists to make duplicates of well known pieces. He's a thief and a liar. PLEASE GET YOUR PURCHASES AUTHENTICATED
