Terrible customer service. The lady raised the voice to two customers in front of us, and then treated us really bad, not giving us a chance to even speak. I would recommend to avoid this place while she works here. Tania, manager. People who works at the senior management level, please review the footage of your in-store video on September 8, 2021 between 3:00pm and 3:25pm. Respectful customers do not deserve to be mistreated.

Thank You Melanie for making our motorcycle trip to Barrie Ontario very easy... she was alone in the morning my husband picked up the trailer and she was still smiling and very professional not giving it a second thought that she was all by herself at 7:30 in the morning.... and thanks to you, we have a place to store our bike!!!

On four separate days I visited the U-Haul location in Gatineau to rent a U-Box container to go to Edmonton, Alberta. On each visit I spoke to helpful staff who switched languages effortlessly depending on the customer to whom they were talking. I had the opportunity to talk to three different people, all of whom were friendly and helpful. There were no unusual wait times and the facility was clean as well as effort made to respect COVID safety protocols. The staff was helpful in letting me access my U-Box twice on the same day and as well as two days later when I had forgotten to put some items into the box. By this point the box had been sealed with green shrink wrap and around the perimeter of the box for additional security on the lock. The box had also been stacked away awaiting transport. The staff very kindly brought the box out to me by forklift and cut off the shrink wrap to let me access the box one last time. They did so without complaint and did not charge me for the inconvenience that I caused them. All in all the attention I received at this beginning leg of the journey of my belongings was superb. I am entirely pleased with the customer service. Well done!

Worst manager I have ever encountered. My son in law rent a truck pick up was threw the actual general manager rude ignorant I just couldn't believe it. Uhaul should he shamed of there self having a manager as her to be the face of your business. Never again ever will I use uhaul due to the manager I dealt with Beware she is extremely ignorant Tania you should not be working with the public.

Version Francoise a la fin! Horrendous customer service. We stored our belongings here after moving from Toronto with a free month. We've been there since May. Two weeks ago we arrived on site and noticed bugs in the corridors on our way to our unit. They looked like cockroaches, but did not make anything of it before informing myself. After verifying with appropriate sources, it was confirmed to be a cockroach. Upon returning yesterday after hours, the moment I opened my unit, there were a dozen bugs crawling over our units. The bug we killed 2 weeks ago, was still dead in the corridors dried up to the floor. Upon reviewing our documents: - They never asked us to provide insurance - They never asked us to opt out of insurance - They provided us with in incomplete contract We immediately contacted corporate offices and were advised to reach out to the General Manager in the morning. We immediately reached out, this is a transcript of the conversation: "Hello, how can I help you?" -General Manager "Yes I'd like to report a problem with my unit" -Customer "What's going on?" -General Manager "We visited yesterday and noticed cockroaches in our unit, this was noticed 2 weeks ago in the corridors when we visited" -Customer "We're aware of this, and these aren't cockroaches" -General Manager "So you guys are aware of a problem, and are not addressing it?" -Customer "What would you like for me to do, come and shake off your clothes for you?" -General Manager "Excuse me, aren't you a manager, shouldn't you be treating me like a customer" -Customer "I'm sorry, I have customers in the store right now" -General Manager -put on hold for 10 minutes- "I'm in until three, you can bring me the pictures" En francais: Un service clientèle épouvantable. Nous avons entreposé nos affaires ici après avoir déménagé de Toronto avec un mois de gratuité. Nous y sommes depuis le mois de mai. Il y a deux semaines, nous sommes arrivés sur place et avons remarqué des insectes dans les couloirs en allant à notre unité. Ils ressemblaient à des cafards, mais n'en ont rien fait avant de m'en informer. Après vérification auprès des sources appropriées, il a été confirmé qu'il s'agissait bien d'un cafard. En rentrant hier après la fermeture de mon unité, au moment où j'ai ouvert mon unité, il y avait une douzaine d'insectes qui rampaient sur nos unités. L'insecte que nous avons tué il y a deux semaines était encore mort dans les couloirs, séché jusqu'au sol. En examinant nos documents : - Ils ne nous ont jamais demandé de fournir une assurance - Ils ne nous ont jamais demandé de renoncer à l'assurance - Ils nous ont fourni dans un contrat incomplet Nous avons immédiatement contacté les bureaux de la société et avons été avisés de prendre contact avec le directeur général dans la matinée. Nous avons immédiatement pris contact, voici une transcription de la conversation : "Bonjour, comment puis-je vous aider ?" -Directeur général "Oui, je voudrais signaler un problème avec mon unité" - Client "Que se passe-t-il ?" -Directeur général "Nous avons visité hier et avons remarqué des cafards dans notre unité, cela a été remarqué il y a deux semaines dans les couloirs lors de notre visite" - Client "Nous sommes conscients de cela, et ce ne sont pas des cafards" - Directeur général "Vous êtes donc conscients d'un problème et vous ne le résolvez pas ?" -client "Que voulez-vous que je fasse, que je vienne vous secouer ton linge?" -Directeur général "Excusez-moi, n'êtes-vous pas un gérant, ne devriez-vous pas me traiter comme un client?" - Client "Je suis désolé, j'ai des clients dans le magasin en ce moment" - Directeur général -passez en attente pendant 10 minutes- "Je suis là jusqu'à trois heures, vous pouvez m'apporter les photos" - Directeur général

I'll give it four stars for the good service, but take off a star because there was one employee at the reception. It seems like all the U-Hauls in Gatineau are understaffed.

It seems like Chanel is the only employee that's of any use here. She's extremely helpful and good at her job. She deserves a raise or two because all of the other employees are only capable of washing the rentals and parking them - or standing around doing nothing. The indoor storage units are great but you should probably avoid the outdoor units, especially during and after winter months.
