Turner Valley Golf Club - Turner Valley

Beautiful course, in excellent condition, but too far from far north Calgary where we live. First time I've seen a friendly moose on a golf course.

We had a company tournament here recently and the staff and food were wonderful. They worked tirelessly and anything that we asked for was met with a smile and immediate help. Our golfers enjoyed themselves too and said it was the right blend of challenge for a best ball tournament.

Very scenic golf course with some picturesque holes, such as #18. Just enough water and sand on the course to keep the average golfer frustrated, that is, if you can't hit a straight ball.

What an absolutely lovely evening to get in a round. (Oct 1st ) The course was in fantastic shape!!! A beautiful golf course with some great holes that both challenge and reward. Also, a very impressive Head Pro named Cory.

Staff in clubhouse are awesome. Back 9 so good. Patio and food get high marks. Always great conditions.

I have been a member since September of 2021. If I won the lottery, would I switch golf courses? The answer is a firm "no". The best thing about the Turner Valley experience is that it is so peaceful. From the greeting at the proshop, to the welcoming friendly membership, to the relaxing quiet, very well designed course, and the nice 19th hole, it's fabulous. There is an abundance of different events you can participate in. (I signed up for most of them.) If you are thinking you would like to join a golf course, drive out and meet J.D. and Cory. I went and found J.D. and made a deal with him that very same afternoon, and was a full member that day. I'm taking a minute to tell you how happy I am that I did that. That's my story.

This is a solid course. Good service, good restaurant, great location in a beautiful spot. This course definitely has 5 star potential. The greens at this course were amazing. Everything rolls true with some interesting angulation. One green had been under repair but they are at least improving the rough areas, and also leave signs for golfers to move off of it. This shows they think about the actual golfers. I've golfed many greens under repair without instructions. Few holes had the views we were seeking, but given the price its awesome. You will randomly get some mountain views here and it's awesome when you do! Some very minor things such as no properly spaced tee boxes, no cart/beverage girl (may be hard to staff in the area), no marshal (maybe staffing, etc.). The starter did get us off early as we were there early to see what this course had to offer, however, the pace was very slow. We almost had a 5 hour round. This isn't manicured like a 5 star course, but I'd like to believe it's on its way. The biggest downside here is that the scorecard doesn't have hole maps and neither do the signs at the actual hole. This makes it very difficult for those playing the course for the first time. This is where it pays to have the golf canada app or golfshot to view the satellite image. I would happily have a membership at a course like this. Solid clubhouse, awesome greens, grass driving range, good clubhouse, and good restaurant. Fish and chips were delicious. I would rate this course in the high 3's but round up as I cant leave quarter stars. Hot dog was 6/10. Could use a better condiment selection. I recommend this course. I will definitely be back.
