I highly recommend Ineke, Turner & Pooch Dog Training. My goldendoodle was 1 yr when we got her and she was timid around other dogs. Later she became reactive to them and then to some people. This prompted me to find a professional dog trainer and Ineke had high ratings. So thankful for her knowledge and her experience. She is firm but very patient and I learned just as much as Kasey did which gave me the confidence I needed to train her. Appointments were easy to arrange or change if needed. Thanks Ineke and Dante, her doberman who came along for the training sessions!

I can't recommend Ineke more, she is amazing! We came to her after a bite incident in our home where we were at our wits end. After only a couple sessions with her one-on-one our dog has made a complete 180. He used to be very reactive to other dogs on leash, disobey our commands etc. He is able to now be trusted off leash with his recall and I don't dread taking him out in public out of fear of his reactivity. Overall Ineke has allowed us to have a much happier and structured dog. She listened and answered all our questions. She more so trained us to be able to communicate with our dog. As long as you are committed to learning and practicing the skills she teaches you, you will be amazed at your dog's results. My only regret is not going to her sooner!!

We are so glad that we found Ineke and signed up for her Proper Pooch training program. We’re not even finished our sessions yet but we’re so thrilled that we wanted to write a review before we’ve even finished the program! In just 3 sessions we have an improved understanding of dog training, a completely different dog, and a very different relationship with him. Ineke has taught us how to provide boundaries and consequences in a way that we all understand. With Ineke’s help we now have a calm, more confident dog who is a pleasure to walk, live with, and take anywhere we want to go! I would recommend Turner and Pooch to anyone who wants to have an improved and more harmonious relationship with their dog. Whether you’re struggling with reactivity, leash pulling, recall, or would just like to be able to communicate better with your dog, Ineke covers it all!

I am sooo glad I went to Ineke . Tank(110lb german shepherd) and I have gone to 2 other trainers and still had reactive behaviour to other dogs and in only 3 lessons we have already been able to meet and walk/play with other dogs. She took the time to teach both of us how to handle different situation's and am looking forward to our lesson's. I can not say enough good things about Turner and Pooch and give her a call she will work with you. Thank You for giving me peace of mind.

My mom used Turner and Pooch for her new rescue dog. The training style did not foster trust nor focus on the areas that were asked for. The training took place in a downtown park with a lot of focus on off leash work even when she was warned that the dog was not ready. The dog bolted multiple times and came close to running into traffic. A large upfront fee ($1200!) was required and no refund was given. Training made the dog more nervous and was an awful fit for both the dog and my mom. There are much more capable trainers for a lot less.

I can't say enough GREAT things about Ineke and her training style! My Fiancé and I recently adopted one of our friend’s dogs that he could no longer take care of. Initially, when we brought Diesel (the dog) to our home, he seemed fine. Until you would go to pet him or try to touch him, he would just snap and bite us. As well as he was very reactive on leash, when walking by other people or dogs, or if someone came through the door, he would run up to them and growl. We were shocked, and I immediately searched for a trainer. I was so thankful that Ineke answered my phone call right away. I easily set up my initial training session with her on the website! The first training session was definitely an eye opener and scary at first. Ineke took her time in explaining to us what she was doing and directed us in the right direction. After week 3 of training, I can honestly say I was crying with happy tears! Diesel has transformed into a whole different dog. I would have to say that it's more training us humans on how to react when your dog is doing something unwanted, and to mainly trust your dog. I have learned so much from Ineke and Dante. Now, we can take Diesel to parks and walk him OFF LEASH! Yes, off-leash! With the e-collar training I have learned to trust Diesel a whole lot more, I have grown a bond with him that can't be broken. I feel more confident when having people come over to my home, and it's so freeing to hear "wow, you have SUCH a good dog" from random people you pass on the street. Thank you SO much Ineke!

I’ve been meaning to post this for quite some time but only got around to it today. It seems like an ok place, despite some forceful methods for dog training but that’s not what I’m here for. My complaint doesn’t come as a customer but just as a fellow dog owner. In the evening/at night, the dobermans that are on site for this dog training company are free roaming the front of the store and guard the giant windows/glass door to the front. Many times I’ve walked past that place and had the dobermans running up to the glass barking excessively at me and my partially blind dog-startling us, and triggering my dog. The person on site doesn’t do anything to remedy the behaviour/scenario. In this situation I wouldn’t punish the dobermans because they are guarding their “territory”(which is what they are meant to do) but I do recommend putting blinds down for the comfort of dog walkers as well as to ease the stress of the dobermans(they seem like good dogs, but a glass window looking onto the downtown area is just asking for pent up frustrations). I know several other dog owners in the downtown area that have experienced this with their dogs as well. I put three stars because I figured the trainers would recognize this behaviour after weeks maybe even months of this but the situation stays the same, I try to avoid that side of the sidewalk nowadays when I can, but I think the point still stands. TLDR; covering up the windows and door at night will help ease the stress on your dogs as well as the neighborhood dogs and won’t set back any training. We should be setting our dogs up for success and not failure :) Thank you, I hope you can take this info into consideration!

Fellow neighborhood dog owner here! I have not received any training from Turner and Pooch but I have had some troubles with the Dobermans up front during walks with my own pup. They seem like lovely dogs but they tend to sprint over and bark at the front when we walk past. The dog trainer on site tends to just keep their head down when it happens.
