★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My lawn was in poor shape in the spring, so I thought that a maintenance program was what I needed.
After 4 visits for seeding, aeration, weeding, and fertilizing, the lawn is worse than ever . . . , "disaster" is the word that comes to mind: full of weeds, mostly dead grass.
It is the worst lawn in the neighborhood, a total embarrassment.
The techs are friendly, but they seem to be in a hurry, and they are here and gone before you know it.
I have on 3 occasions demanded some sort of remedy, either a refund or a "rescue", but no one has bothered to come back with a plan. This is despite the contract which says they "will gladly visit your property . . . to make any necessary adjustments".
"Extremely Disappointing" is the most polite thing I can say about
the service and the results.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been with TruGreen for ~5 years and I’ve stuck with them over 2 different houses, it’s a love hate relationship. TruGreen does actively respond to my unlimited weed spot treatment calls within the week and does acknowledge my frustration with the lack of control every year (corner houses). Why the frustration? Simple, the product (fiesta) and concentrations spray per application are ineffective (limited by EPA policies and Ontario legislation) and, there is an expectation customers will call for additional spot treatments, hence why it’s built into the package. The science for fiesta is conducted in lab scale environments with little disturbance. Real life, this does not apply, we get rain, wind, weekly lawn mowing, animals etc.. it’s a constant battle to eliminate the unsightly signs of dandelions during spring months, I wish TruGreen would begin weed intervention programs earlier as the season opens. There is no residual protection year over year. All other parameters, lawn height, mowing patterns, fertilizer treatment, raking i follow, just hate that I see significant amount of dandelions while having lawn care service and only after multiple calls and multiple “spot” treatments does the lawn actually begin to look healthy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hesitated to pay this company up front for their annual weed/fertilizer program, but I thought I would keep an open mind. BIG MISTAKE! Pictures say it all. I have an irrigation system that comes on every night. They state that I am entitled to unlimited service calls, but when I called them to re-treat the weed jungle that is my back yard - they said that they suspended all warranty service calls because it was too hot. So we waited until it was cooler and called again. We requested for them to please call ahead when sending a tech because the gates are locked (we have a pool). Ha ha, they still haven't figured out how to deal with the huge obstacle of 'calling ahead'. So they continually show up unannounced and leave without performing any service. They also won't ring the doorbell because of Covid. All I can say is this company must be run by a bunch of stooges...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don't know how is this company still in business, maybe the area I was in has bad management? The whole company was so disjointed in terms of communication internally, and with customers,they may or may not show up, if they don't show or don't do a good job (we verified with security camera) , good luck get them back to fix it.
After cancellating the service, they still showed up try to do the service.
I was gonna put all this behind and move on, the sales person called again today trying to sell us again!
Just leave me alone at this point!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have dealt with this company 3 years ago and they did a good job. Last week I called the company and was quoted by a nice lady who answered the phone the price of $403.65 for 5 visits + weed intervention. I called today to finalize the deal and happened to talk to the same lady who gave me the offer . I asked for more information and clarification for the number of visits and she said she can give me the “ total of 5 visits including the weed intervention with a prepaid arrangement for $ 306.60. I told her to go ahead with the deal. She requested to put me on hold to activate the account. After listening to a 5 minutes on hold music I was transferred to the most rude person I have met in my life . He confirmed the 5 visits but he told me the price would be $ 350.06 and he said the lady was mistaken because she is not in the sales department and he apologized for that . He was trying to make me accept the new price while I was trying to convince him the price was not competitive. Suddenly he got mad and he said he was upset and that was the final price “ take it or leave it” . While I was trying to tell him nothing personal, he hung up on me . I called the lady again and asked to talk to the sales manager, but she told me he was not available and she will email him to call me. She was very apologetic. I thanked her and told her I will wait for the manager’s call which did not happen till I finished this review. Later on the day the manager called . He was apologetic and very understanding. He promised to take up the issue with the rude impolite bad mannered sales representative.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ TruGreen did a great job! You have to follow the instructions that is shared after they do a service and you will be satisfied. Used them for my home in Niagara and my lawn was really bad and after following instructions, it was healthier and green. Recommended their service to my parents. I like the unlimited free weed service, and we did have an issue with aeration and they re did the service for free, great service, definitely recommend based on my experience!
