Welcome to True North, 

We are so fortunate to call Clearwater Lake our home. We live here year round and get to experience the beauty of every season – the fall colours, a frozen lake for great ice fishing in the winter, and pristine water for fun and play in the summer. We look forward to you experiencing it for yourself.

The Mosbeck’s

True North is a family run business. Chuck has been on the lake all his life. Two generations of his family have made Clearwater their home. I (Cathy) have been on the lake since I was a teenager.

We consider ourselves incredibly lucky to live amongst the wilderness and still find ourselves in awe of our everyday natural surroundings. Chuck has been able to follow his passions as a float plane pilot, privately and commercially, and we are able to stay in close proximity to our family. We have three children: Dallas (Kari and boys), Cody, and Nicki (and Eric). The kids are often around in the summer, helping out and reconnecting with returning guests. Thank you to all of our amazing guests who have supported our business, the lifestyle, and our love of the area. We are grateful, for all of the stars to have aligned.

After 45 years in the business, we find time and time again that our guests arrive needing some rest and relaxation – a chance to disconnect from their busy lives.  With the fresh air and peaceful surroundings, it really does restore the soul. We hope that True North is a place where you can slow down, enjoy yourselves, and take in the beauty around you.

Your vacation is incredibly important to us.  Your experience here, along with the comfort and quality of our camp, are our main priorities and goals.  We want you to have fun and to feel at home.
