β β β β β Very professional, friendly and helpful staff! Clean and well-maintained. The doctor was great but the people in the shop were super helpful and incredibly nice. The eye exam was quick but the staff stayed past their closing time to make sure we were happy with our purchase and to ensure all expenses for the eye exam and lens were covered under our plan so we wouldn't have to pay out of pocket. Highly recommend this clinic.

β β β β β As a Personal Stylist, I have been taking my Vancouver clients to Tru Valu for many years. They have fabulous designer frames with state of the art lenses at great prices. All of the staff are well trained in fitting frames and getting the exact lenses for the client. They go above and beyond and do whatever it takes to ensure my clients are completely satisfied.

β β β β β This is the place to go to for your eyewear needs. The owners were really helpful and super friendly. I didn't feel pressured to buy even though I got a pair. A week later I bent my glass (my fault) and they took the time to help fix them for me (was a near loss) and no charge! I am definitely coming back in the future. Thanks again!

They tailor make your experience in purchasing your frames to ensuring your lens are perfect.
I would highly recommend Tru Valu Optical to everyone regardless of your income, I witnessed the staff treat all customers with respect, integrity, and the service was outstanding.

β β β β β Iβm surprised this place hasnβt been flagged for its fake 5-star reviews. The staff are outright hostile if not rude and dismissive. Customers are treated worse here than anywhere else Iβve seen in Vancouver - imagine being screamed at and threatened by the owner out of nowhere, for seemingly nothing. Even if you can get past those things, the selection of frames arenβt worth their βloweredβ price. What a bizarre operation.

β β β β β I called for an appointment for a specific service, when I arrived also write in the medical sheet the service I was looking for. During the process of my exam I tell the Doctor about for what was the porpoise of my exam. At the end of the exam the front office tells me that I need to pay more for the service that I was looking for, I said no.
So I leave Tru-Value Optical paying with a exam that will not help me at all.
I definitely will not recommend this place.

β β β β β I am kind of surprised in a positive way. West Broadway have more than 10 eye store, why this store so different? I was planning to give a try for my last minute act, because my classmates gave me a thumb up gesture. Nirosha put me through and not give me any non-verbal rejection. I was not worried if I canβt. Make a story short
1: warm welcome me even I could not make a proper appointment.
2: home like place, you can see the 1956 poster and vintage machine run well in this place.
3: hand hygiene and wipes are good practice in here.
I am willing to come as continue eye check and renew my frame.
Thatβs why they are in here for business for over 40 years!
