Trivia Escape Rooms

My first escape room and it was so much fun! I knew that someday my knowledge of 90s shows like Friends and Fresh Prince would pay off! Really cool staff who are friendly and helpful.

They last minute cancelled my reservation due to an emergency on early Jan. I was very understanding despite this being part of a bday surprise. They haven't replied my emails to reschedule, nor have they refunded me the payment. STAY AWAY - they will take your money and cancel on you!

Lots of fun with good, challenging but not TOO challenging questions, and lots of great show-specific subtle details scattered throughout the escape room. We plan to come back again when they do other shows.

It was awful. There were 5 of us and the room felt so cramped for us to move freely. 2 of the locks were already open before we entered in, including the FINAL DOOR. This defeats the whole purpose of escaping. But the worst part were the clues itself. None of the clues were based on The Office at all. There was just one room out of 2 decorated a bit like the show. You don’t even need to watch the show, you just need to know the names of the characters (for one clue). I was so hyped for this place as The Office is my favourite show but every office reference is a red herring because none of the puzzles are actually based on it. I tried to make so many office conclusions which was a waste of time. And I paid $28 for this which is pretty expensive for an escape room and not a single dollar was worth it. We were robbed of the experience due to the locks being solved. And the marketing is so misleading because it’s not really office themed as barely any trivia was based on it. I have no idea why BlogTO and Narcity are hailing this as an awesome place. We solved all the puzzles yet it was utterly disappointing. Worst escape room and experience ever.

Darren put his whole FOOT in that set up!! Prop design, tricks and magic (wink wink) made the kid in us soooooo happy! Liz was awesome as well and only nudged us when we asked. Loved that Office Space and Parks & Rec were included in the clues. Great first time Escape Room!

My friends and I heard about the Office Escape Room and were so excited to try it out as we have done many escape rooms together. There was a lot of confusion with payment after booking and after some emailing back and forth I spoke to Darren, who was very friendly and professional. Payment was figured out. Since then, it went downhill. We went yesterday to do the Office escape room and were super disappointed. First of all, the 'waiting' area is very unpleasant and not much of a spot to sit. There were trivia questions to fill out beforehand which was a fun added touch, but when we went over the answers some of them were wrong (we are nerds, I know!). By the time we entered the room we were unimpressed. What was 'The Office' themed ended up having very minimal specific references to the office and included OfficeSpace, Parks and Rec etc. The clues were only so so and by the final lock we tried it about 6 times and then we were told the time was up. The employee said we had it right but either the group before us must have ruined the lock or maybe we were trying 'too hard' so she said since we knew it we actually 'did' escape and she would give us the win. Not very satisfying when you've tried for an hour to escape and it doesn't work. We have done many escape rooms and in comparison to other places not only was this poorly created, but it was more expensive than others for what you get. I think the way it was organized and advertised is pretty false which was disappointed. If you want an awesome experience and a 'real' escape room feel, I would try Trapped in Markham or Escape Games in North York Toronto. **EDIT TO ADD: Darren was very great in rectifying the issue by sending me a private email and I appreciated the professionalism in how he dealt with this situation. Not all business owners take criticism well and I felt this was handled great. Thank you!

I have been in each escape room that they have done and it's always such a fun time. I loved the one from friends, because I'm a big fan of the series and the Christmas one was very cute, I went with my little brother. Right now they have one from the office, parks and recs and Office space (Best movie ever). Totally recommended.

So much fun! We originally had an issue with booking as the group before us had unfortunately damaged some props preventing us from going that day. However, Darren was amazing with quickly refunding our money and then offering us to return at a later date free of charge. The experience itself was awesome and the staff on site was great. I would definitely recommend Trivia Escape Rooms. Our group is looking forward to returning for another theme in the future.
