Very convenient but the cost is way too expensive for the service, the distance and time. 4,75$ per car for one way. Although I live very close to the traverse on the Bizard island side, it still costs me less money if I take the highway to Laval instead of taking the traverse! Timewise, it doesn't save lot of minutes neither if compared to driving the longest way on the route especially on rush hours. Stuff are very friendly though. If this review was helpful please don't forget to like it. Thank you.

If you can get over the fact that this whole system is based on a cable type of system going over rapids!!!! It’s a quick and painless ride. Wait times can he fierce during peak hours which is very normal. Overall good experience.

It saves you gas and time to get from West island to Laval and the staff are friendly and the prices are excellent ? but I give 4 stars only for the long line waiting

Have lived in Ile-Bizard for 17 years and can confirm that 9 times out of 10, the ferry does not offer any time or economical advantage as opposed to going around by Gouin and the 13. The only exception is if you are going from ile Bizard to Saint-Eustache, Oka or any other destination to the West and vice versa. If you have to wait for one pass of the ferry, your advantages are nullified or the same (at best) compared to going around. If you have to wait on two passes, you are in fact deficiary as opposed to going around... and this happens frequently. My wife and I both left the Carrefour Laval on a Tuesday night in seperate cars at about 8:30pm. She took the ferry, I took the 13 South, 40 West, Saint-John's. I actually gased up on the way in and made it 8 minutes after my wife. Take off the time to stop for gas and we are about even + you save $5. She also confirmed having waited not even 2 minutes for the ferry. It is a tourist attraction more than a practical mode of transiting between both islands.

Dependable and friendly. No waiting in line if you are on a bicycle, they get on first! If you want a nice scenic ride to Oka from the west island, take the long way on the Senneville road. Much nicer than the ride to catch the Hudson.
