The train wreck is both of historical significance, and actually quite beautiful with the modern graffiti art. Meanwhile, the trail is well-maintained, and mostly quite wide, which accommodates the many people on busy days. There are also some side trails along Cheakamus River, which are spectacular.
R	Rob Macdonald on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had heard about this from one of the books we had been reading in preparation for our trip. We decided to take a hike since we had some spare time. This was a great idea and location to soak up some history, view some graffiti art and see a very cool suspension bridge. Make sure you use the parking lot on Janes road, it is about a 20 to 30 min hike, depending on you pace. Once you hit the bridge it is right on the other side. There are a total of seven rail cars over about two hundred yard span. All of them you can explore. If you are in the area, I would recommend it.

There is a small suspension bridge over the water which is cool and I hear there is a lakeside hike you can do as well if you want more of a challenge.

L	Lilian Tse on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy beginner level and well maintained trail to the train wreck site, buggies are probably suitable and the walk is about 1.5km. Interesting train wreck site and bridge crossing with nice views. Topped off with a black bear sighting as we arrived!
U	Unbottle BC on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A wonderful winter wonderland. The way to the train wreck is easy to follow as the snow path has been stamped down by the many other hikers. The path can be a bit slippery/icy in areas but it is a breeze with snow shoes and hiking poles. A great hike for families as there are many areas to stop for photos and to rest.
R	Raheem Merali on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A short 2 km hike approximately 15 minutes south of Whistler‘s main village. The parking lot fills up fast so I would recommend getting there before 10 AM on any given beautiful day. The trails aren’t marked very well so it pays to keep an eye out :-) you will cross a couple of footpath wooden bridges before you hit a beautiful suspension bridge. Photo opportunities galore. Other walkers, hikers and even cyclists will share the trail with you in some places. The rail cars themselves are interesting to see. There are about three wrecks you can wander through. You can even climb on top of a couple of them. Fairly safe to do so but remember you’re doing this at your own risk. It’s a very easy hike for families and young children too. More challenging options are available if you’d like to follow some of the other paths and get down closer to the water. You can be in and out in 90 minutes. Certainly worth checking off the bucket list. More experienced hikers should plan additional hikes or activities right after this as you may lack satisfying physical activity.

With all the colorful grafitis, it really is a huge piece of art. Took about 1.5 hour back and forth with ample time to walk around and just enjoy. Definitely recommend!
