Group of 3 had a wonderful experience; the only downside for us was the trails were overgrown at the time (getting wipped with branches).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter and I had a wonderful experience at Trailhead Ranch. Anne is so amazing with all the horses.I never road a horse before and Anne made me so comforatable.Here I am on Kahlua, we are both the same age?.I recomend Trailhead Ranch for all Children and Adults.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Trailhead Ranch was compensated by me for the lack of attendance to the family reunion. Still I overpaid for the reunion and even after a repayment was confirmed, I was later told no further monies would come to me. I suggest that no one pay any amount before the planned event.
I will say that all who attended the event enjoyed themselves

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was an awesome experience for our whole family.... with some "first time riders"! The owner was so knowledgable and kind and knew how to deal with everyone... adults to the little ones. My little granddaughter who was so keen on going riding and then standing beside the horse...got cold feet because of previous bad experiences.... the owner helped her up into the saddle, talking to her all the time and led her horse over with her to get onto her horse. From tears to smiles and chatting all along the trail.... from fear to a growing love of horses. I couldn't tell the owner how much that one little gesture made my granddaughter's day!!! It was a terrific family day with horseback riding!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The trail ride was great and perfect for a young family. The kids had a blast and the horses are so calm and we'll behaved. Our kids are 6 and 8 and they did great. Anne is a great guide and really made everyone feel comfortable. We will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family of 2 adults and 2 teens went on a 2 hour ride in Sept 2021 and thoroughly enjoyed it. We've 3 or 4 trail rides before over the years but this one had some unique elements.
Most trail rides everything is ready when you arrive, you hop on a horse and then you go. In this case, the operator selected horses based after seeing your size and identifying if you had any experience. This was a slower process, but you got to hang around horses for longer. So, I consider this a plus.
We we also provided with instructions about riding the hoses. We got shown basics of turning, slowing, and stopping the horse. Sure the horsed pretty much just follow the horse in front, but I'm pretty sure a few times the horse actually listened to me.
The trail through the park is beautiful. It was fascinating to watch the horses navigate over fallen logs and through the bushes. It was quite dense and you shouldn't try it with shorts or a short sleeved shirt or you'll get scratched up.
