Tradition Law LLP

Andrew Torbiak is an associate lawyer with Tradition Law LLP Estates and Trusts in Winnipeg.  Andrew maintains a broad practice in estates law, with an emphasis on estate planning. He also provides consultation to clients related to committeeship and attorneyship issues, as well as to estate beneficiaries.

Prior to being called to the Manitoba Bar in 2016, Andrew attended the Asper School of Business (class of 2012) and the Robson Hall Faculty of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 2015.

During his time in law school Andrew competed in multiple levels of negotiation competitions, notably finishing first in the Robson Hall Negotiation Competition in 2015, and fifth in the 2016 International Negotiation Competition held in Dublin. Since graduating Andrew has become a sessional instructor of Legal Negotiations at Robson Hall, and coaches third-year law students at the Canadian National Negotiation Competition. He enjoys engaging with law students and discussing the communication and collaboration skills necessary to become a successful negotiator.

Andrew contributes to the Winnipeg community by sitting on the board of the St. James-Assiniboia 55+ Centre. He has also volunteered since 2016 as a Presenter through Senior Centre Without Walls, a social engagement resource offered by A&O: Support Services for Older Adults. Finally, Andrew is a proud member of Businesses and Organizations Supporting Seniors (B.O.S.S.), whose mission is to enrich the lives of seniors in the Winnipeg area.

When he’s not in the office, Andrew can be found out for a run, or enjoying the parks and patios with friends.
