★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thoroughly displeased with their service. Hired Brendan Mahatoo for real estate services, they were late filing the documents and no communications on their part. I understand real estate proceedings often run last minute, and that is why they charge an additional $250 “rush order” premium. Considering this, I expect on-time delivery and prompt communications, as with any legal service.
Furthermore, their paperwork misspelled my spouse’s name and made mistakes in calculating the amount due for taxes and fees. I had to call multiple times to ensure work was being done and pressure for delivery of the documents. The lawyer made excuses blaming the bank for providing documents late. I had sent all necessary documents to our mortgage specialist nearly two weeks ahead of time, confirming the seller’s accepting of our offer to purchase and all conditions met. Finally, the lawyer had not secured the keys to the property and had to call the seller’s real estate agent to deliver the keys personally.
When hiring out legal services, I expect a professional, courteous interaction. This was not the case.
