★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I usually dont post too many reviews and when I do its usually because of a bad experience with a place but I have to say hands down best shop I have dealt with the owner paul helped me out so much I feel obligated to post a review! Town rebuilt my rear end for a very fair price worked extremely hard to get it done in record time (work truck broke down) they did a very good job with no hidden costs, I was notified of other issues such as my brakes that I couldn't afford to replace and there was no surprises other than how nice my vehicle drives with the rear end rebuilt was a pleasure dealing with Paul he is a true professional and I will return to town transmission to have work done in the future. I was considering selling the truck but it drives so good after taking it to town transmission I think I will keep it now! In the past I've found its very hard to find a good honest mechanic that takes pride in their work and has reasonable rates! Everything from the price of the tow, parts, and labour was more than reasonable and the total wasn't a penny more than quoted! I'm very happy and I was also referred to town transmission from another happy customer that insisted I take my vehicle to Paul as he has been dealing with town transmission for over ten years and wow am i glad I took his advice!!! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could leave 0 stars I would. I brought my car in for a tune up and asked them to check out my engine. They told me they cleaned my carborator and changed my filthy fuel filter. 3 months later my car was undriveable, (I only drove it on weekends), so I got it towed to a closer shop. They looked it over and said nothing had the oil had not been changed and the fuel filter wasn't replaced. I basically paid $500 for Town Transmission to wipe the front of my carborator and that's it. In my opinion, they took advantage of me because I'm a woman. And when I called them about it, the manager was always conveniently away. Terrible place. The second place I brought it to found that the gas tank was not rusted - the fuel filter itself was rusted. They also told me that the spark plugs which were "cleaned" actually caused some of the damage that resulted in the vehicle not working properly.
