Tourcan booked us a 3 night stay in Nairobi plus a pickup from the airport. We realized after the fact, tourcan had charged us 3 times the amount for the hotel room than anyone who would have paid online or directly to the hotel for the SAME ROOM. Yes this did include a pickup from the airport and 3 breakfasts but still this company will gauge you, give bad travel advice and say its all in the name of security.

We are two English folk, who have been on several trips with Tourcan now. India, Morocco, Israel and Jordan, Kenya and Tanzania, Japan. Ex-pat friends of ours who emirated to Canada helped us to join their trips, mainly because of the link that Unique Group Tours has with Tourcan and their world-wide expertise and contacts with local tour companies. They are excellent in all respects. Of the age when we like home comforts that include seamless comfortable travel, with nice hotels, organised visits, comfort breaks etc., essentially we get it. Most notable was the Japanese trip, for just four of us. Initial fears that the language and customs would be incomprehensible were soon put to rest. For example, tickets and time schedules for Bullet and local trains were provided when we landed at Tokyo; instructions for exactly where to stand to best reach our designated seats included; guides waiting on platforms to meet us, private chauffer-driven cars outside. The list just went on and on. This lasted nearly 3 weeks. To set all this up so seamlessly was not only remarkable but absolutely spot-on what the four of us wanted. Goodness knows how much planning went into this, but it must have been huge. But for us, we just floated on serenly, taking it all as read. Not in hindsight, though, oh no! Inevitably, the odd burp occurs, which is when expertise in digging the group out of a potential hole depends on the organiser knowing who to contact, and who can help. Guides for and aft walking through Moroccan souks, watching for trouble from pick pockets as an expample. Brilliant guides in Israel, Jordan, India, South Africa. The tiger reserve in India at Rathnambhore usually confines the numerous jeep loads of tourists to designated areas to avoid overcrowding. Our leader simply ensured that the head of the park and the chief ranger personally escorted us on our visit, which meant that we uniquely could roam over all the separate areas at will. Our recent Safari mixed a range of 6 hotels and lodges, each very different, some sublime, a couple with problems in certain areas. But hey, getting and retaining good staff - any staff! - in some of these remote and isolated areas, especially after the whole industry was hammered by Covid, is a blooming miracle. Expecting 5 star service all the time is just unfair, and I'm ashamed to remember feeling a little less than charitable at times when things got a bit bumpy. Wild game we we wanted, wild game we got, in spades, to the point of saying, "Oh no, more elephants again..." Roads get blocked round here at home due to maintenance - out there, giraffes filling the road is a whole new ball game. Brilliant! In essence, Tourcan has enebaled us to see interesting parts of the world, in style and comfort , whilst discreetly making sure that it all flowed smoothly. We did our students-with-no-money trips in our youth, and now we need style. Simply put, Tourcan lays that on. When we get service, then we pay. And will do so with Toucan again, namely our foursome for the twice-postponed 3 weeks in Australia this November, inshallah. Can hardy wait! David Darley

I have been on 2 trips with this company. The first one was great, well organized the hosts were super friendly and helpful with camera settings. The 2nd trip.. my a bucket list trip for me, was great to see Churchill & the polar bears! The accommodations changed which is certainly understandable under the covid situation. However the lack of communication did frustrate myself and other guests on the trip. But not a huge deal. What did bother me however was - being accused of smoking in the public washrooms :/. I am almost 40 years old and on a 8000$ trip ? Why in the heck would I do that when they offer a designated smoking section where many Tour members seen me go. They (5guests) from the 2021 Churchill trip have also offered to write letters on my behalf regarding this. When I said no I wasn't smoking inside There was no apology offered by your operator James Cowie So I sluff it off and continue to book 3 more trips with this company, to be told they are waiting on room accommodations. The response time was within minutes prior to this... but now I wait weeks for confirmation of these booked trips. In the end the tour operator says because I expressed concerns on the last I am not to go on anymore trips ?! Even though he told me they are separate bookings and separate trips. So thanks for keeping me in limbo. Accusing me of things I didn't do And ruining my travel plans I had 40 000$ worth of trips booked in 2 years at age 38. I can certainly take my business elsewhere. I just don't understand how this company operates treating paying customers this way! I emailed multiple times apologizing when I had no reason to just because I wanted to go on more trips with this company!

I highly recommend Tourcan based on my recent experience on safari in Kenya and Tanzania, and previous experience in Israel. Excellent accommodations, exciting itineraries, superb guides and personalized, attention to detail characterize the first class trips organized by Vivek and his team. We are now planning another "bucket list" trip to New Zealand, and are confident that our expectations will be exceeded with Tourcan.

I have done several tours with Tourcan Vacations Inc. Each of these trips is likely to be in the once-in-a-lifetime category as they involve distant places and great expectations. These trips could be considered ambitious by many and particularly by those of us in the retired age group. Tourcan, however, makes the trips easy and successful. Everything promised is delivered with attention to detail and the special needs of each traveller. Comfort, including good food and accommodation as well as flexibility for individual wishes, is built in. And importantly, the Tourcan trips seem to attract congenial people!
