M	Musicgal on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Joined the Toronto Guitar School after researching different options, as I was looking for opportunities to learn and play the guitar more. There are a variety of classes including drop-ins, which make it convenient for people with flexible schedules. The classes I have taken at this school are excellent! Guitar instructors KC and Scott strike a great balance of explaining technique and getting us to play, so with every class you will feel yourself getting better. Glen, who manages the school and also teaches (vocals, other instruments) is welcoming and genuinely interested in helping people learn. Together, they make learning music (guitar for me) interesting, fun and achievable for their students.

Glen is such a supportive person who leaves no stone unturned to ensure that his students and teachers are taken care of. His dedication during the pandemic to ensure that the school continue to provide high quality lessons was marvellous. KC Roberts is an amazing teacher and professional musician who really cares about his students improving by giving feedback about every aspect of their playing and pushing them to try beyond their current comfort levels. This place has many other talented musicians teaching as well. Now is especially a good time to finally learn that instrument by signing up with this school. Highly recommended!

Mark is a brilliant teacher and has really helped me improve, he’s very patient and very good at building up to playing some really good stuff, focusing on technique and strong fundamentals initially. All of the lessons have been fun and engaging. They have been virtual due to the pandemic but have been just as effective, it’s a great time to learn would strongly recommend.

I have been taking lessons with James Sawyer and it has been greatly enhanced my playing. My musical theory knowledge, technique and overall passion for the guitar have substantially increased while working with James. I would highly recommend to anyone at any level of guitar.

I had no prior experience with any string instruments but I was able to follow the pace of the class with ease! I was worried the amount of classes wouldn’t be enough but I was very impressed by my progress over the weeks and I can tell you the 10 classes is more than enough to get you started with playing your favourite songs and continue your guitar learning journey!

The teachers are very knowledgable and provide great instruction for beginners to the instrument, and to music in general. Having experienced learning an instrument through online group classes and attempting self-taught approaches, there really is no comparison to learning from an experienced instructor capable of providing effective live feedback as is offered through this program. Due to the pandemic, I'd like to add that the school has been exceptional in ensuring the safety of students and faculty by enforcing mask-wearing, social-distancing, checking temperature, and confirmation of vaccine passports. Amazing experience thus far, excited to continue my music education with Toronto Guitar School, would absolutely recommend!
D	Dana Duta on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter has been taking guitar, piano and band lessons for over 2 years. Great experience especially since we started lessons at the beginning of the pandemic. Lessons were on and off online and in person always in a very safe environment. She loves working with her individual teachers. They provide a relaxed environment conducive to learning particularly in the evening when she is a little more tired after a full day in school. She truly enjoys her time there. And then there’s the time with the band. She gets to actually put into practice all she has learned all these years she’s worked so hard on her instrument skills. The atmosphere is great and there are recitals at the end of the terms. Students have the opportunity to play in front of an audience and hone their performing skills. The owner is very much involved in organizing the lessons and while for some it might seem weird that the lessons are happening in a church, the venue is actually great because the rooms are very well distributed and if you get to play in the nave there’s excellent acoustics. They also have a great deal of instruments and amps. All in all an excellent experience!
