★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought 1.5 cords of firewood from Adam in August in order to get stocked up before winter. The owner Adam delivered the wood a few days later. However, when I lit my first fire this week (a few weeks later) I discovered the wood was wet. It took me a lot of effort to light, was very smoky when it did finally catch it went out quickly. I gave my friend some wood from my pile to try himself and he had the same problem. I then attempted two additonal fires and the same thing happened. To be totally sure, I borrowed a friend's moisture meter and the average piece of wood I tested contained between 30-40 per cent moisture. It should be less than twenty per cent. I contacted Adam about this and sent him photos of the moisture meter readings. Right away he apologised and offered to replace the wood. This made me believe I was the not the first person to complain about it. However, that was the last I heard from him. Despite subsequent texts and calls he never bothered getting back to me. In his advert Adam claims he 'lives on pride and principles.' However, my experience with him concerning firewood is he has very little integrity. Unlike his wood, I got burned! As such, I would never use or recommend this guy to anyone. There are more honest people out there to buy wood from. Do your due diligence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was very impressed with TopHat and the owner Adam. I requested a firewood delivery and Adam has been a great communicator from start to finish, the wood is very dry and nicely sized. In addition, the driver who delivered the wood was very helpful. All round great service!

Adam was responsive through the process, showed up on the day he said, at the time he said and the landscaping work was done as we requested. Pricing was reasonable and we'll call him back again for further landscaping work.

He also takes care of his employees and Always pays his employee’s can’t wait tell next year for another fun snow fall season.
