I love airstreams so we had to check this out. We got everything the girl working the front suggested and it did not disappoint. Okonomiyaki was amazing, we had the local favourite (prawn), Fried Chicken was the best I have had in a very long time and crab meatballs were so good we came back for more! We will be back again on our next visit.

Must try Japanese food truck (or food air stream) in Tofino! Tired of waiting in line at the unnamed Mexican food truck? Toki Doki is the best option in town for take away or enjoying with a pint from the brewery next door. Delicious local Japanese eats that are accommodating for dietary restriction! You’ve got to try the pickle on a stick, it’s life changing.

I wasn't all certain what to expect from this. I had not followed their socials to see the aesthetics of their food creations, all I knew was that there was a new food truck in town. So, when I unfolded the box of my order, I was impressed by the way it presented itself to me. The taste you ask? Well dear god, absolutely pleasurable and comfortably filling. Now, I'm not sure if my pre-existing overfill of cacao consumption on Valentine's day made me estatic to the meal I was eating but it made me ever more satisfied as the ending of that day for me. Freaking delicious.

Really impressed with this little place. We came on a Saturday when they first opened and there was a huge line of people waiting to get into the brewery and for food. We were able to place our food order almost right away and it only took 10 minutes for our name to be called! Sooo much faster than most places in town! everything was delicious!

We.wanted to experience Japanese street food and this is the closest we will get to Osaka in the near future. We ordered two things. The prawn okonomiyaki and the pork katsu bento. First the okonomiyaki is basically a Japanese pancake mixed with cabbage with various toppings. We chose prawn and it was amazing. The taste is very complex but so well balanced as it has a hinge of spiciness but not overpowering hotness. The prawns are just cooked enough but not overcooked. All of that covered with a layer of arugula that complimented the pancake really well. Next the pork katsu bento box. No surprises here as it was was cooked to golden perfection. A twist though is in the garnish that we found pickled lotus root along with the radish. Definitely Kei has paid his attention to detail of each of his creation as who would have thought there will be surprises in such a popular Japanese dish like the pork katsu bento box. This food truck (airstream) only opened since late January and is located by the Tofino Distillery. I am sure both Kei and Madi will see their new venture blossom!

Seriously yum! Last night we got take out Bento boxes and some snacks in ball form and everything was really tasty. The spicy togarashi sauce on the fried chicken was the best part. The chicken and crab meat balls were super flavourful and would be amazing in a rice bowl or soup too. The eggplant Katsu was also a winner. Definitely rich tho, perhaps still working out their oil temps during the dinner rush cause the lotus chips were a lil greasy, but that's take out diner for you! I could eat 100 of those daikon pickles. Will definitely be returning next time we are in town, can't wait for the Taiyaki.

What the dam hell! How does one make food THIS DANG GOOD! I highly recommend the stickle what will surely become a modern classic ! This place is 5/5 ADORABLE too, in an airstream !?!?!?! Yep one of those trailers retrofitted as a restaurant it will have you saying ‘WhA???!’ And their okonomiyaki is TO DIE FOR! All in all <3 11/10 UPDATE!! : Still good ! 12/10

So cool to have authentic Japanese food in such a remote location. We ordered almost their entire menu. Then stopped in at their neighbors Tofino Brewing for a sample flight of beer.
