I wish I could give them 0 star. If you are sending your child from other countries please don't trust McGill housing because their is something going on for sure they will charge security fees and there won't be any surety about accommodation. This happen with my own niece who came across and when she reach there they said there's no room for her. Temperature was -25 she start crying that where I'll go? But nobody help her just said sorry we can't do anything. Then we call hotels and book a room for her. I don't want to remember those days that one part of canada is like that. We call them so many time after if you get any room she is staying in hotel and it's very expensive but again sorry we don't have any spot available was their reply. And then we somehow arrange her accommodation somewhere else and I fill form for my security deposit. But still waiting for security deposit refund................. Worst experience of my life please don't send your kids on their trust make your own arrangements don't trust them. They are making money by hook or crook only nothing else. That's why they don't even return security deposit.

Rooms are a bit small but as a student you don’t really need that much. If it’s your first year in Canada or TRU in general, this is the best place to start. You get to have a good time and meet a lot of new people. Positive things: - You live with your friends and you get to see them everyday. - You live 5 min away from almost every building at TRU - On Campus WIFI is good and you get it at McGill - You have an RA and he or she will take care of you and take you seriously with every problem that you might encounter. - You live next to a gym/pool/running facilities - Both Superstore and Walmart are at walking distances of 10 min. Negative things: - Sometimes you can hear the outside noise - Winter wind gusts can be a little bit harder in between the towers.

This place is outstanding for students. The staff is very caring, supportive and understanding. They helped me alot, especially in my travel to Kamloops during covid 19. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. I recommend every international student to choose McGill residence as their first place to live on campus. Thank you McGill

Absolutely the most pathetic hostel I’ve ever seen, and this is supposed to be in a good Canadian college. No staff no maintenance, the toilets clog all the time. Just absolutely pathetic.

If you're serious about your schooling and/or in an intensive program, I wouldn't suggest living here. Unless you want to take chance on what my friends would call "Nightmare Roommates". Although staff have been kind, their actions have shown they're not advocates for students. In their standards "noise levels at any time should not detract from any resident’s ability to pursue academic endeavours or to enjoy a peaceful living environment. An individual’s right to reasonable quiet supersedes another’s right to make noise" is simply not true and not enforced. I couldn't work to the best of my potential as a student at McGill Residence. I'm talking 1-2-3-4 am in the morning yelling, screaming almost daily. Friday-Weekends sure, but Monday-Thursday as well... Having to sleep during the day because you know you won't be able to sleep at night is unacceptable. The idea of even having to adjust your schedule to work around those who cause disruption is unacceptable. Others have reported them as well. But nothing obviously drastic was done to make changes to their behaviour. They know they can get away with it. The residence staff asks you to talk it out and that's fine but you can't reason with those who have no conscience. Poor behaviour will be enabled here at the cost of dedicated students. I don't want others to have the experience I've had here. Possibly if roommate matching is guaranteed, but that wasn't given to us this year. Best wishes.

Feel free to share a room with ppl. who keeps peeing on the toilet seat on purpose, use speaker to amplifier the Netflix series or scream about how bad they at playing battle royale games after 1 or 2 am for 2 whole semesters. Better yet, the management said there is no way to outlaw the violation of the contract that everybody signed. Well deserved.

1. Terrible staff. 2. Can never get ahold of them through email and even through calling. 3. Website is full of glitches. 4. It seems like they force run an automated system for a lot of backend stuff causing a lot of issues when you can never get ahold of them. 5. Westgate dorm was incomplete. Was nice that they offered to allow students to stay at hotels but some places didn't even have microwaves and the staff at the hotels didn't allow students to hook up their own appliances. 6. After move in date, there was still a lot of things incomplete. Yet, they said everything would be completed by beginning of semester. It was nearly a month after and they were still doing work. Also constant work that shouldn't need to be done. 7. Too expensive, then again it's mainly just the entire region. 8. Wifi was nearly inaccessible for most of the time and really slow as it piggy backs off the Universities internet which is shockingly bad. 1/5. Would not recommend the University nor this housing.
