Thistle Ridge Doodles

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience with Thistle Ridge Doodles and would highly dissuade anyone from buying a puppy from them. Our puppy was born in July 2021 and we picked him up in September 2021. Initial contact was quick and informative, this all stopped after they received our first payment. We could not get a hold of Patti; it took days and even weeks for her to respond to us at times. We were finally told to select a litter as there were multiple and we chose the one where we would have first pick of a puppy. Patti sent over pictures but stated she didn’t have one of every puppy and she would get the rest to us the next day. More than a week went by before we heard back and we had to keep reaching out before we ever got a picture. I’m sure at this point other families were waiting to make their decision as well but could not until we had decided. Once we decided we asked for updated pictures, this again took weeks to receive. Each time we finally received a response Patti would say she had answered us every time right away and it must jut be the internet, but I do not believe this was the case. The night before we were supposed to pick up our puppy, we did not have an address yet from Patti. After multiple attempts to contact her, she finally responded with an address and no mention of a “puppy package” with forms we were supposed to fill out. She also told us she had made an appointment for herself at the time we were picking up our puppy so we had to change our time. When we arrived, Patti was not there and we only met her husband. He told us he had just given our puppy a bath and did not want him to get dirty by running on the wet grass so he let him run on their stone, unpaved driveway. Our puppy had cut open his paws and torn one of his nails. I would have much rather the puppy be a bit dirty than bleeding. It was very difficult to find out any information about the parents, and in the end all we got was one picture of each. Thankfully our puppy is healthy and happy, but regardless of this I would never use them again as they are extremely unprofessional, unresponsive and unreliable.

I got my puppy from Thistle Ridge Doodles on Nov 6 2020 he is well mannered, gentle and very very smart. If or when we decide to add another family member, Thistle Ridge is my first stop. We have had so many compliments on his looks and personality. Thank you Thistle Ridge Doodles!

I just purchased my newest pup from Thistle Ridge and love him so much. He was very social right from the day we took him home. His great personality and the glowing words from our vet show he was well cared for and raised in a loving environment. Patti was great to chat with and you could just tell her love for her as she called them “soft squishies” thanks for our new baby.

In my opinion, Thistle Ridge is a well disguised puppy mill. My puppy was born April 18 to parents Peaches and Murry. I found out on June 20 that she was available and took her home that night. I was not on a waiting list and Patti/Steve did not ask me any questions about home environment, kids, other pets, backyard, or anything similar. Seemed they just wanted their $$$ and to get rid of the puppy. This should have been my first clue. Fast forward to December 2021 and Peaches is having another litter. When I asked several vets, it was definitely frowned upon to have another litter in 8 months. My puppy was discovered to have an accessory spleen (a second miniature spleen) while being spay. A few months later, I found out that she also has 3 missing adult teeth (completely non-existent) and a single rooted incisor where she is supposed to have a double rooted pre-molar. The first question from the vet was "any idea what her bloodlines are?". My puppy is only 9 months old . I'm scared to find out what other anomalies and/or genetic mutations she might have. Lastly, when I sent Patti a follow up on how my puppy was doing I never received any reply. However, she did manage to respond when I "did not recommend" them on social media. I would NOT recommend Thistle Ridge Doodles.

I purchased a pup from a different breeder 3 months ago and they were fantastic. My sister loved mine so much she decided she too would like a pup. My breeder didn’t have any availability and suggested Thistle Ridge Doodles. So happy she did. My sisters Thistle Ridge pup is amazing. Great communication although a bit slow at times as they put their pups and kids first. I’m ok with that. They did get back to my sister and now we have a beautiful family of Doodles. Great healthy pup.

Purchasing a new dog can be stressful. There are so many variables in play and you hope that when you finally do take the plunge you do so with a reputable breeder who does all they can to ensure the health of the puppy you bring home. We got Arlo a few years ago pre-Covid. We were able to go to the home where the puppies were born and see the entire litter. We spoke extensively about the steps they go through and the health testing done to try to ensure pets being sent home with families are healthy. Arlo came home to us with his crate training already started. He was warm and social with friends and family and was already well adjusted within the first few weeks of being in our house. This isn't always the case with new puppies and shows the environment they're being born into. I would not hesitate to recommend Thistle Ridge to prospective dog owners. The owners have a wonderful set up and I had the peace of mind knowing where my dog was bred and what to expect.

These breeders are the real thing.! Easy to reach and deal with. Came through with what was promised. I have a 3 month adorable pup. He is such a happy healthy little guy.

Our experience with Thistle Ridge, and Patti specifically has been amazing. Patti took the time when we met the puppies to answer our many questions, and even answered our follow up questions when we got home. Our puppy is now 8 months old. We were happy to see that the puppies were well card for and loved from birth until we brought our puppy home. Paddington is well socialized with humans and dogs, and has a delightful personality. She gets along with both our senior beagle and senior cat, and loves everyone she meets. We are absolutely thrilled with our experience!
