Always fun to browse when I'm in the area, and I still use the matcha bowl I bought here almost daily. My second favourite piece of teaware is an authentic Japanese kyusu with a lovely floral design that I was happy to finally find locally.

A cute little store with good quality, authentic Japanese items. I bought wedding favours for my bridal party (for both adults and children) from here and was very pleased with the quality and (surprisingly) the selection. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is conveniently located near the University of Toronto. Transit and parking are available on-street. I would shop here again for other items, as needed.

Very cute and authentic store in a great location in Harbord Village. Saori has many high quality home items, decor, kimonos, incense, origami paper, etc. Such a gem for neighbourhood.

Great place to pick up Japanese kitchenware and cutlery! I was able to find an authentic shamoji (bamboo rice paddle) after looking all over the GTA for one. I'll be back to fill up my kitchen with other cute knickknacks.

Cute knickknacks and Japanese imported goods such as teaware, stationary, and textiles. I was not allowed to take a picture of the inside, or any of the items on sale unfortunately. Store is small, and very quiet. Probably the issue for most people will be the incredible prices for most of the items on display... incredibly high. As many of the items are not terribly exclusive, their supposed authenticity is barely a justification for what you will need to shell out for anything on display (*a single rice bowl can go for $40+). As a result, enjoyed looking around, but didn't not feel compelled to buy anything. *EDIT: the owner clarifies that a bowl goes for $6-14, with a 6pc set being $50. As I don't have any pictures of any of the products, I will assume my memory to have failed me until such a time when I can confirm this again. My impressions remain the same, as a review rated relative to the perceived value and likelihood of a return visit, or recommendation to others.

Great place, it has a lot of hard to find Japanese products. You won't find any Japanese food/snacks here, but they sell yukatas, paintings, calendars, and more.
