Did a good job of engraving timely service made some minor changes which weren't quite what we wanted but it was ok

Say they are open until 6 PM went there earlier today around 130 they were closed have been trying to call no one answers. Dropped off a cross I had engraved for my daughters baptism tomorrow and now its looking like I wont have it for the baptism due to them being closed during mall hours ?

I went to Things Engraved and the first time the woman behind the counter said that I could bring in any item and that they could engrave it. 1$ per character. Great! So then next time I go in I bring in two items and there was a different girl behind the counter. Said it’d be 10$ PLUS 1$ per character for each item. I was misinformed by the first woman the charges. I then told this new girl about what I was told and if she could do anything to lower it since I was told wrongful information. Said she couldn’t so I agreed to pay whatever it costed. Then told me it would take 2 hrs and that I’d have to pick it up the next day. I said no because it doesn’t take that long if there have been others coming in and out with their items. So I walked out. The last time I walked in I brought in the same items and tried it again thinking maybe someone could help me better than the girls before who didn’t really care to know what they had to offer. They started taking my item which is a knife I bought for my father for Christmas. Said I wanted to engrave the wood and then I get informed that they can’t engrave it because it’s wood. So my understanding is that you can’t engrave wood and can only engrave flat surfaces.... Things Engraved? More like Flat Surfaces Only Engraved. You lost a customer and I’ll be letting everyone know how you’re associates do not care to understand what they offer. I walked in ready to pay for it and decided not to because I feel that your workers were under qualified and not professional or caring to what I needed to be done. Terrible experience. I should’ve just had it done at Things Remembered because they could’ve helped me and accommodated me better than anyone at your store, but I didn’t because I support Local
