A nice blend of history and a great hike. Went with my grandchildren and it was a stretch for the 5 year old and everyone loved the trip. Great views at the top, the mountain top lake and the look out over Lac Archambault at the 1/2 way point.

This hike is verry difficult especially with the closed shelter at the top. Only the toilets are available at the parking lot and at the top.

Amazing hiking spot. Will return there for more hikes!

Great trail, it was tough being about 12km but the trail wasn't too rocky which made it less tough on the feet but a good leg workout. The crash site was humbling and made the hike unique with it being a tragic piece of aviation history to go along with the beautiful scenery.

Great hiking, at this time of a year, it's good to have micro spikes, it takes 4 hours for me to go to the viewpoint and complete the loop.

Awesome 13km trek to the top. Multiple beautiful viewpoints show all that Lanaudière has to offer. The RCAF plane crash site as well as the memorial are also not to be missed. Enjoy!

Took around 4-5h to do the loop. Parked at P1 and because we arrived late, we parked on the main street. There's also P2 available that we could've used. The directions were a bit confusing at the start but found the Mesangeai trail. It was muddy so wear confortable shoes and can get rocky at some part. Definitely start with this trail for the uphill part. The Black montagne point of view was a bit disappointing. Took the Intercentre trail back down and had a amazing view at the Belvedere.

This is one serious hike! I think this trail labelled "hard" is a fair assessment. Admission was totally free but parking fills up quickly, so maybe plan for an early arrival. Speaking of early arrival, the experience lasted over 5 hours and a half! My watch calculated over 15km of trail. The trails themselves were well-maintained and the VIEWS!! Those views!!! The most breathtaking one is towards the beginning, but overall this park probably has some of the most gorgeous ones near Mtl. There is a huge tower lookout about three hours in that has this mind-blasting panoramic view of the park's mountains and lakes; I've never seen a 360 view quite like that! The park is also know for being the site of a plane crash in the 1940s which has been preserved, and you can see the remnants and pay your respects to those who lost their lives. The only con for me was the map: a bit inconsistent between direction names and landmarks names, and the park maps (not just direction markers) felt few and far between.
